House Frey

Proofread by: Akisu.

"Lady Dustin, my father is waiting." A man that looked like he was in charge ordered pointing his hand in the tower's direction.

Lady Dustin stood there, totally ignoring the man while watching little Bri running around with the two wolves under the servants, Matthos and some knights watchful eyes in their newly constructed, temporary camp until they managed to pay the toll and cross the bridge.

"M'lady, it's not wise to keep my father wai..." he couldn't finish as he heard the woman's melodious voice.

"And you are?" she asked still not paying attention to him.

"Walder Rivers m'lady." The anger in him started to build up. How could this whore from the North disrespect him so openly!

Lady Dustin turned and walked slowly with her knights to meet the Old Walder.

When she passed the messenger, he could hear her whisper after a sigh "Not even a Frey..." and moving on.

His hands shook in efforts to calm down. He! Black Walder disregarded so openly!

The guards that passed him were enjoying their Lady's poisonous tongue as each one of them had from a smirk to open chuckle or all out laugh on their faces making the man angrier with each step he took following the bitch.

The trip lasted about an hour and now Lady Barbrey waited outside of the great hall of The Twins hearing the boisterous atmosphere inside.

"Your men will stay here." Black Walder just said when a dagger was placed at his throat making him sweat. "W-what is the meaning of this?!" He panicked as the blade drew a bit of blood from his throat.

"My Lady is not some peasant pleasure girl for a bastard like you to order around. Learn your manners, or I will cut your tongue out." Ser Hadrian had enough of the disrespect his Lady ignored from the man.

"Ser Hadrian, lower your blade. If we listen to every ant we won't have the time of the day to do what's important." she gave the signal to her knights as they opened the doors for her.

The great hall was full of sounds, on the left hand side she could see the males of the Frey line seated at the podium like arranged seats.

Each of them had the same weasel like features making it harder for the Lady to keep the smile that was expected of her on her face while hiding the disgust.

She watched them all. Their lecherous eyes moving all over her body while some of the bolder ones licked their lips clearly showing their arousal, the disregard for her status as a high born Lady, the contempt they had probably thinking that she is no more than a vessel for their seed only good to fuck and birth children.

What was unexpected was the weirwood tree shaped necklace one of the Frey's had on him. She noticed it, but didn't question the man about it, putting one of the mysteries that bothered her for a while to rest.

"Ha ha ha" the laugh that made her want to plunge her dagger deep into the person it originated from pulled her attention back.

"Feisty as always I can see!" Lord Frey was seated at his usual chair at the end of the hall, next to him stood an ugly, young girl holding a wine vase, clearly uncomfortable as the man had his hand under her skirt doing God's know what in the open.

Lady Dustin didn't bother to continue to extend her stay here.

"Lord Frey. It's good to see you as healthy as ever." she bowed her head as a sign of respect which in reality she didn't have, even an ounce of for this old house.

"Hahaha" Lord Frey took his hand from under the blushing servant girl's skirt and smelled his fingers exaggeratedly. "Youth! The young ones are the best! You can fuck them from all sides and they still squeal like on the first time! Haha"

The servant too embarrassed to stay there hastily left the hall accompanied by the laughter and jokes coming from the rest of the Frey males.

"I will find you later you little minx! Haha" Old Walder didn't forget to reaffirm his superiority, or maybe his perversion.

"Now, back to you." he looked at Lady Dustin. "Do you have another good business for us like years ago, or are you here just to visit the old me?" he chugged and loudly drank the wine from his cup.

"Oh I do remember the business we had, and am greatly indebted for your help, yet I think you should check the security in your lands as some of the small folk women were ra*ed on their trip..." she looked with her cold gaze, but with the same small smile still present on her lips.

"Bah! What are a few whores selling themselves for some pennies! No reason to take heed of that!" He scoffed it off and made himself comfortable while leaning back. "Of course if you want to work on it then how about marrying your boy to one of my daughters? With your land and ours we would have the north and the south of the Neck under our control!" Walder Frey licked his lips just thinking about the prospect.

He knew that there was no other heir in Neverwinter, after getting one of his daughters pregnant the man would have an unlucky accident making the rich land theirs.

"I'm very sorry Lord Frey, but the engagement with the Starks was already accepted." Lady Dustin "sincerely" apologized.

"Ha! Starks! Starks! Your father must be happy he finally made it! After you spread your legs for the older one and he gets killed like an idiot by the Mad King, the second one was sold to Tully's daughter from under your nose and you were left to the Dustin's." Barbrey face still had the usual smile, but inside she was burning. She stopped Ser Hadrian that was closest to her from pulling his sword with just a look and calmly listened to the already dead man's (in her mind) rant. "You are clearly doing good with all that gold flowing in to Neverwinter and a Stark marriage! Ha! How about I take you for myself uniting our houses? It's a good business as we had years ago ey? You're clearly not picky when it comes to men! Hahaha" the hall bursed out in a cacophony of laughter.

"Oh I feel so honored and troubled now Lord Frey... I do not know if I could again be the reason for the bad rumors about your house though..." she said in a Lady like manner.

The hall became silent and everyone looked from her to their lord.

"Bad rumors?" Old Frey's voice got serious, the playful man that was there a moment ago disappeared after he concentrated his sight on the girl standing a few meters in front of him.

"Well... I probably shouldn't tell you, but when I was coming to The Twins during Robert's Rebellion there, on my way I was so troubled... I heard that Lord Tully already called his banners so all his loyal, brave and honorable men already answered his call and left for war. You can't imagine how happy I was when I was informed that you were still here..." the smile of the lady got brighter.

Her knights that were stopped previously by their Lady's single glance before and were having a hard time not starting a bloodbath here after eating the bread and salt as per the custom now relaxed a bit.

'The Lady's tongue is as sharp as ever' each of them thought, but she wasn't finished.

Looking at the old man turning red from anger she attacked again.

"Oh! Lord Frey! Is everything alright? You look unwell! Must be because of my blunder back then..." she pretended to be sad and lowered her head. "I-I just assumed that as it was not the first time, you have experience in that regard and will explain yourself to your Lord so I stayed quiet..."

"Preposterous!" The hall came back to life as Old Walder's sons stood up and grabbed their daggers and swords as did Lady Dustin's knights.

The vulgarisms were thrown at the guests, yet without any reply as Lady Barbrey just looked at the old man and her knights at the rest of the gathered people.

"Silence!" it didn't help. "Silence I said!" Lord Frey slammed his hand at the chair's armrests.

The hall quieted down and he was just looking at the Lady like a dangerous adversary and not a meek girl that he can insult as he pleases.

"You have a sharp tongue Lady Dustin." He slowly said.

"Day and night ready for war..." was her answer.

"One gold dragon for each person to pass." He had enough of the games. His mood was already destroyed so that probably was the reason why a crossing that usually costed not more then few pennies was so exaggerated.

Lady Dustin looked at the pitiful man and said. "Alright, yet I have one more question..." she walked to one of the Frey's with a smile followed by Ser Hadrian.
