"I can help." 

"Me too," a couple of guards quickly walked up to her. She couldn't see much of them, as Amber's people seemed to tend to cover themselves up almost entirely, but one had a masculine voice and the other sounded like a young woman. 

"What? Why!?" A civilian then spoke up. Everyone's eyes went over to the middle-aged man. "Those people made the choice to go out of the city."

Kaori raised a brow, confused. 

"Isn't that what all of you were trying to do?" 

The crowd did not like that. Anger spread amongst the group ahead of her and Kaori took a step back as they moved forward. 

The civilian who'd spoken up just now continued. 

"That was before we knew help was coming! B-But, you're here now!"
