The wars between the demon lords and the dark rituals performed by the cults released powerful magical energies that further corrupted the land. The very fabric of reality was twisted, creating zones of chaotic magic where the laws of nature no longer applied. In these areas, time and space were distorted, and bizarre, nightmarish creatures emerged from the rifts between dimensions. These zones were perilous even for the demons, adding another layer of danger to the already hazardous world.

Human populations were subjugated, reduced to mere slaves under the dominion of the demon lords. Entire villages were razed, their inhabitants either slaughtered or taken to work in the fortress cities. The demon lords used humans for labor, entertainment in gladiatorial arenas, and as sacrifices in their dark rituals. The human spirit was crushed under the relentless oppression, and any hope of resistance seemed futile.
