Hey! Here's the new chapter!
________________________________________________________________________________________
My little disagreement with Malfoy was seen by almost every first year of Gryffindor and Slytherin and by a few other students who were in the corridor at the time, who were the only ones around. But that was enough for the event to spread throughout the school, where the students started talking about me…again.
This time the gossip wasn't so great, as it was just a first-years fight, but even so, this matter reached Professor Snape's ears, who took 10 points off me and gave me a week of detention.
And I didn't worry about detention or losing points, in fact, I was surprised that it took me so long to earn my first detention.
But one good thing that happened was that Professor Flitwick decided to take my detention, and now I spend most of my detention time talking about magic with him while eating delicious cupcakes.
But at that time, something else was on my mind. I know I'm not the calmest person there is, but I know I'm not the most aggressive either. I was really surprised at myself for acting that way with Malfoy, as the most I would do would be a prank and a few snarky comments.
But when I realized he was going to curse Hagrid, and the way he'd looked at me before, I kind of... got annoyed.
I'm not saying that what happened was abnormal, but rather that I could have acted less aggressively.
Well... At least this will teach Malfoy and the others that I shouldn't be teased.
...
...
...
Pffft... As if Malfoy ever cared about it.

-Sunday – At night-
"Um, no one around here," I said, slipping through the castle corridors at night, already past curfew.
I was walking around the castle at this hour for a very simple reason... Curiosity.
Today, when I was walking around the castle with the boys I saw and felt a strange magic coming from one of the unused classrooms, and when I went back later to look, I saw that what was in this room was the Mirror of Erised.
I was confused to see the mirror already in the room, but then I realized that it was just a few days before Christmas, so it made sense that Headmaster had already put it there.
As I didn't have much time to look earlier, I decided to wait for everyone to sleep so I could go see the mirror, mostly out of curiosity.
I wanted to know what the mirror looked like, and also what my heart's desire would be.
And after dodging Filch, and bribing Mrs Norris, which thanks to my skills wasn't difficult, I finally arrived in front of the mirror room.
Using my Magic Vision to confirm if the room had any wards or spells, and I saw that I didn't have any. So I wasted no time and walked into the room.
The room was spacious, and I won't go into too much detail, as the only thing that mattered in the room was the large ornate antique mirror, which gave off a different magic.
I don't know much about the Mirror of Erised story. I don't know when or how it was created, if there are other mirrors, or who the creator was, but it is undeniable that it is an incredible magical object.
Looking at the mirror frame, I saw the so iconic phrase at its base.
Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi
"My heart's desire…" I mumbled.
'What will be my heart's desire? Money? World peace? Power? Perhaps a harem? hehe'
I really have no idea what the mirror would show me, and even my guesses didn't seem right.
Deciding to end the mystery, I took a step in front of the mirror, and with a little nervousness I looked in the mirror.
That... I... What I saw in the mirror... Wasn't what I expected.
What I was seeing in the mirror was my family... My families... of my two lifes...
I was in the middle of them but I couldn't see my face as it was blurry but I knew it was me by the eyes.
On my right side were Sarah and Joshua, my dad and mom from this world, with Cele sitting across from me. On my left side were Emily and Robert, the parents of my first life, who I... I ended up forgetting...
I kept looking at my parents from my first life with regret, remembering how I would never see them again and realizing how I had forgotten about them when I was reborn, having been excited about my second chance.
I could also see that Robert, my father, had his hand on my shoulder, looking at me with pride, and I could almost feel his hand, like he really was with me.
I was so intent on looking at my parents that I didn't even notice that at the very bottom of the mirror image was a large black mass, which glowed with tiny lights of different colors every now and then.
"M-Mom…Dad…" I stammered in a husky voice, feeling my legs give out.
I don't know when it started, but I felt a tear run down my face. Unable to put up with the memories that came and went in my head, I dropped to my knees, staring blankly into the mirror.
"I... I forgot you... I abandoned you..." I started to say, letting the tears flow, "I'm sorry... Please excuse me" I said in a disappointed and sad voice.
"I miss you so much... I miss talking to you guys... Listening to mommy's scolding... Seeing the news with you, Dad... I miss you all..." I said in regret, but feeling that a weight on my back was being eased.
I then looked at the image in the mirror, and saw that more people started to show up. My friends from the first and second life, my uncles and aunts, my grandmother, and even the girl that was my best friend who I had a crush on before I died.
"Hehe... You guys don't know how good it is to see you guys... to remember you guys" I said with a nostalgic smile, wiping the tears off my face.
After that, I stood in front of the mirror talking about everything that had happened to me so far, and people in the reflection looked at me as if they could understand me.
I spent most of the night talking in front of the mirror, and when it was too late I got up, promising to come back some other time to see them one last time before the Headmaster moved the mirror.
Satisfied and feeling my body lighter, I started back to Ravenclaw's common room, also promising myself never to forget my family and friends, of all lives, be it this one, the last one, or any other I might have.
Only I didn't notice that as soon as I walked out of the mirror room, the reflection in the mirror changed, to show a shadowy shape, with multicolored lights flashing on it.
The shadow had no face and no redeeming features other than his amber eyes, which showed satisfaction and pride, which together with the small smile that began to form on his shapeless face gave a sense of mystery and power.
"~My little child..." a feminine voice with touches of tenderness echoed in the room, before everything fell silent, with the figure disappearing from the mirror.
End.

(End AN: I don't know if the way Ethan acted with Malfoy was good or if it made sense to you, but this is something that will have meaning later in the story, and it will be part of one of the main points of Ethan's development.
....
I'm sad because I haven't found any good fics lately that catch my eye, and the ones I follow aren't satisfying me, I sigh.
Maybe you, my beautiful and wonderful readers, have some fanfics to recommend me?
Hope you enjoyed the chapters!)
