......you just holidayed many things that could outline the future quins nature so im going to put down a theory, the future quin mentioned a single time stream among many that alongside how this story is set out we can then assume that this story does infact use the multiverse theory as a basis, and therfore my theory is that the future quin was one of which he did not defeat or overcome his pride and instead attempted to harness it in his hubris for power intern makeing him pridful by his main nature which again intern explains the peculiarities in the interaction between the to an the idea that he can "make everything better" by changing the past without thinking of the consequences. there are 3 supporting factors to this theory.1) we know the multivers must exist due to the nature of the story such as lily and James being alive, ivy existing and so on. 2) we know for a fact that the future quin was still obsessed with the vault as he was adamant for quin to return after defeating the curse again as well as future quins entire interactions with current quin being overly prideful for example believing that he needed next to no protection on his experimentation room as his houses wards where already "impenetrable". 3) quins base personality was completly different which can only occur due to mental minipulation or trauma (a base personality is normaly defined withing the first 10 to 15 years of life depending on circumstances and experience and will mostly dictate a person's main morals such as how people should be treated how empathetic someone can be and how they see the world) of which his soul being corrupted would come under as it holds (shown through remembering his past lifes memorys) key personality traits and memorys
