Yuki was isekaid to the world of Danmachi. What will happen to a kind boy who becomes obsessed with strength? (Not my pic)
Yuki looked around at the infinite void that seemed to encompass his very being. He sighed in resignation after accepting the inevitable thought that he been plaguing his mind since he arrived here.
He was dead.
Yuki had lived a somewhat average life. He was seen as kind and easy going. He had made a few friends here and there and felt quite fulfilled even in his death. Still, it was hard to accept the fact that he was dead. He wondered how his friends and family would react after finding out about his death. His only regret was that he couldn't be there to comfort them.
Thinking about this, he sighed in sorrow only to find his consciousness drifting away. He tried to resist, but he was powerless against this feeling and swiftly fell asleep.
...
In the middle of a clearing in the forest laid the body of a young teenage boy. The rays of light hitting his face forced him to wake up. Rubbing his eyes as he groaned in frustration, the young boy forced himself to sit up when he finally realized something was wrong.
'Where am I?' thought Yuki as he started to look around. He felt a little bit of panic before quickly calming himself down. He found a trail and hesitated for a bit before walking down the path. He had no other options.
He was captivated by the scenery around him as he forced himself to forget his fears. Soon, he realized that he was that he was approaching the exit the forest. In his excitement, he began to run.
"Woohoo!" Yuki let out a cheer as soon as he had exited the the forest. Overwhelmed with joy, he didn't notice that he was drawing attention to himself. After calming down he noticed the stares he was getting. He blushed as he quickly distanced from the from the group. 'Idiot!' He cursed himself as he walked away. Since he was a child he found himself getting easily excited over even the smallest things.
"Hmm?" Yuki suddenly stopped in his tracks. It wasn't from shock, but from the fact that he still didn't know where he was going. Still too embarrassed to approach the previous group, he decided to look at his surroundings.
From his position, he saw a giant wall. At first he was dumbfounded by the fact he had missed such a wall, but then he thought of something.
'Attack On Titan?' He shuddered as he thought about it.
He quickly erased that thought from his mind when he realized that there were other people outside said walls. His curiosity got the better of him and he started to walk towards the walls.
As he neared, he realized spotted more people along the way. 'What in the world?' Yuki found that people here dressed in what he assumed to be clothes from the 18th century. A lot of carriages drawn by horses passed by him as he walked. 'Did I time travel?' he thought.
He spotted a group different from the rest. The group had people equipped with armor and weapons. Yuki was confused, but still kept walking forward.
As he approached the walls, he realized that there was a queue of people waiting to enter. He chose to quietly line up in order to avoid trouble. In the line, he listened to the snippets of conversations he could actually hear.
'Dungeons and quests? Is this a fantasy world? Have I isekai'd!?' Yuki became a little excited as he thought about it. Having no idea that his bright enthusiasm was attracting others, he began to wonder about what kind of world this was as the line moved forward.
'Where's my cheat? Do I need some kind condition to activate it? Do I need to be in critical health? I'd rather not find out like that.' Yuki suddenly heard a voice that brought him out of his daydream.
"Hello there young man. Is it your first time here?" Yuki turned to see that it was one of the city guards on the sides of the gate.
"Oh sorry, hello. Yes it is." responded Yuki, a bit flustered.
"I see no wonder you were so excited. Anyway, Welcome to Orario young man." said the city guard.
"Thank you very much." replied Yuki as he entered the gates.
It was only after a while that Yuki caught on to what the guard."Orario?" he thought as he saw the tallest tower he had ever seen, Babel.
