Chapter 20: Surpass!

Two and a half months have passed since the trainees entered the Hunter Camp and they got a taste of what hell is. Every day, they need to abuse their body to improve

Nath's strongest point is his close combat skills and as much as possible, Keon avoided a direct confrontation with him

One of Keon's cards glowed with an intense light that can blind the people around it. With how useful and versatile Keon's cards are, his enemies always find it hard to defend against his attacks as they didn't know what kind of power he will use

"Argh, this again!" Nath said in annoyance and he heard Keon's chuckle

Keon used another one of his cards and it expanded in size to the point that it was already as big as a basketball

The card has a metallic color and tens of metal needles came out from it. Most people can't defend themselves from this if they are blinded but Nath is clearly special. He has great intuition and he slashed his two swords at the same time sending two arcs of light to his opponent

The metal needles were flung away and the arcs of lights even continued and approach Keon

Keon wasn't afraid though as he used his two remaining cards that turned brown in color

Two large blocks of rocks appeared and Keon uses them to defend from Nath's attack

The rocks were destroyed into smaller pieces but they succeed in defending their user. Keon didn't even waste these rocks as he waved his hand

The destroyed and now smaller but multiple pieces of rocks flew in the air and they retaliated against Nath

The rocks were just in time when Nath regained his vision and he rotated his body while wielding his swords

The rocks were deflected while their size turned even smaller. The two were in a stalemate again. Among all the trainees, the powers of these two are the closest to each other making it so that in every fight, the spectators don't know who will win or who will lose

Soon, Nath moves again as his body was shot like an arrow and he approaches Keon

One can see lights gathered at the soles of Nath's feet before he shot his body and a deep foot imprint was left in the ground

Facing the fast movement speed of Nath, Keon made two more cards and he puts them on the ground

Sharp and tall spikes ascended from the ground and they forced Nath to slow down. If not, he might be skewered by the spikes and he would be defeated by his rival

Not being able to approach Keon annoyed Nath and he slashed his sword in the rock spikes before hitting them with his swords

Keon was taken aback by that. In his past fights with Nath, this man was always fighting in such a simple way. That is the reason why Keon can defeat him at times

Since Nath's moves are simple, Keon can predict them and it was easier for him to both defend and attack. But now, Nath was actually doing smart moves and it surprises Keon a lot

"Heh .. my friend, I always want to spar with you because I always learned!" Nath said proudly and while Keon needs to defend himself from the severed pieces of spikes, Nath is already running towards him

"You're hopeless, watching you fight with that brat always gave me an urge to curse you. How can you be pushed into this kind of situation by a mere naive brat?" "You always say I need to put some attention in long-distance attacks so I did!" Nath proudly said and Keon can only smile bitterly

Who would have thought that his own words almost made him lose the fight?

Keon is not so narrowminded to be angry at Nath. After all, the two can be considered good friends. With Nath's personality, he will surely help Keon if the man encountered problems in the future

The stronger Nath is, the better as Keon will also benefit. However, Keon also wants to move his ranking. In normal fights, he has some chance to defeat Nath. However, Nath already has a record of using spiral power!

If Nath's cultivation base was at the same level as the unmovable top 1 and 2, he will surely claim the first seat. Thus, Keon was always in the top 4 and he wants to change that!

There were still some winds coating Keon's body and he moved around again. The flying swords have faster speed and they are the ones that will reach Keon first but if he just casually destroy them, it will give time for Nath to approach him

Keon needs to put even more distance while destroying those two flying swords before Nath can engage him in close combat!

Keon used three of his cards. Two of them let out strong gusts of winds while the remaining one spreads fiery fire in the winds

The raging winds were suddenly caught in a fire and Keon judged that the power behind it will be enough to destroy those swords
