[Flashback Contiues]
Quirks.
What are quirks? Quirks, before called Superpowers, are abilities humans are born with, believed to be the next stage of evolution amongst some scientific circles around the world, which is to be considered true as there was no other potential right theory about the surging of quirks. Anyway, 90% of the world's population have some kind of quirk, and even those who don't have, have their human genetic potential unlocked after several generations of passive exposure to the C-01 Energy that only Klein Knight knows about. This potential makes normal humans at least 10 times stronger than before the Age of Quirks.
There are a lot of documents and research in quirks, so much that technology didn't advance much in terms of extraplanar exploration or even planar exploration. Some governments focused completely on the study of quirks, abandoning everything else, and one of those countries was the USA and even Japan.
Talking about Japan today was the new year in Japan, the year is 2250, exactly 240 years after the Third World War, which was known by every high schooler or those who had minimal knowledge about history at all. Each country had obvious differences in history, as some saw themselves as victims and others saw them as traitors or even worse. As the fireworks exploded (A/N: Your country sets off fireworks in New Year's festivities? Mine does.) in the sky, coloring the dark sky in different shades of different colors and patterns of the explosive particles of color and gunpowder... It was beautiful yet deadly.
As the world grew used to quirks, new laws and even professions were born. Ing Industries is the biggest in Japan and the world, hiring Quirkless people to do work, of course, people with quirks are also employed, but the majority are Quirkless people. One of the laws that were put in work was the 'Not Allowed to Use your Quirk in Public', however, this law was only applied in Japan, the US, UK, and China. All other countries put some restrictions on the use of quirks in public, but no prohibition. The most famous profession is the Hero profession, which as the name suggests, consists of saving annoying people and putting your life in danger for people you don't know not should care about.
It sounds selfish, but that's just human nature.
The next most famous profession was the Olympic Quirk Athlete. With the surging of quirks, the Olympics also continued, but the participants would use their quirk in a way or another, so new categories were created where quirks could be used! To be an Olympic Quirk Athlete you need to work hard to shape your body and quirk to perfection and win against several other competitors. Japan's greatest Olympic Runner is Yokushida Yotumatsu, an Elysian. That's what they are called, people who are trained in Elysium are called Elysian, which quickly became a region a lot of people wanted to visit, however, access was limited.
Elysium had no airport because Klein refused to destroy or mess further with the natural habitat of the creatures living in Elysium Archipelago... They are also considered rare animals which evolved and developed quirks, which made them have their unique appearance. They are all protected by Klein Knight, the official owner of the Archipelago. Some people were greedy about the wonderful place that was Elysium and wanted it for themselves, some threatened Klein to sell Elysium to them... Let's just say blood red was the moon that day, it was soon known that the Wicked Angel was the owner and protector of Elysium, which made people stop trying to buy it or even destroy it.
Elysium became known as one of the most beautiful places on earth... And the Martial Arts that we're based off on Klein's fighting style also became famous worldwide. They were even taught by masters of each style, they altered it, like everything humans do with things, and they taught their own 'version' of it.
However, if a master taught martial arts in Elysium fought someone using the same martial arts that were taught out of Elysium, they would win. After all, Elysium is a place where you learn technique and are tested through fire and blood to get better at that specific martial art, training, and training, more and more every day. See, the [10 Paths to Power] are hard to master.
That's what is called. [10 Paths to Power]. Kinda edgy but it a good enough name for this fighting style, which was deadly. It was named one of the Deadliest Martial Art in the world... Well, Klein always taught his students how to kill, so obviously, they implemented this type of intent in the making of the different styles of the [10 Paths to Power]. Now, where do I want to get with all this infodump?
Well, you see, Klein was tired of only training. After 200 years of training his skills and failing several times on opening a stable portal to another universe and almost destroying reality several times, Klein had enough and decided to chill for a while... And that's what he has been doing for all these 40 years. You see, with his fame in the underworld, he was considered the biggest threat to everyone because of his highly unpredictable and destructive habits, which were presented on war. Even 240 years after the war, the fear within the Underworld did not decrease, in the contrary, it increased with time as his students grew in numbers and they went around doing whatever they wanted.
Some became villains, some became heroes, some became neither, but Klein did not care. They were all his students and should pay respect to him as their teacher. Some arrogant students tried to defeat or kill him after they thought they were strong enough... Let's just say Klein found out that Kaos Energy is nasty to cause pain... But now, in Japan, Klein was living this life a little more haywire. He was drinking, and even though it didn't do anything to him, it still felt good because it was a cold beverage! Food is the best thing.
The tv on the bar suddenly changed the channel as the fireworks that were being reflected by it died down slowly. It was an emergency report, stating about a villain that was apprehended by All Might... Klein suddenly smiled as he had a thought... 'It's been a while since I visited a prodigy... All Might huh? Toshinori Yagi, you can't even punch right, always using too much force and too little technique to use full force with little effort...' Klein decided. He was going to bull- I mean, he was going to visit one of his beloved students.
