Returning home, Ye Yue was ready to just sleep the day away. By the looks of it, so were the wolves. Liang Yu used Astral Sense going over the area constantly. The message about the attack while he was away did not make him happy in the least.

It seemed a battle had taken place a few days ago. But not to devastating at least. Looking at the guards on the walls confirmed it. They were wearing yellow bands to signal the threat level in the area.

Arriving in the main hall, he was suprised at the guests. An older man that reeked of herbal medicines and a teen with him. The guards of their family off to the side.

"Cousin, welcome back." Liang Jian was about to get out of the head seat when he was stopped.

"Enough, nonsense. You are the standing Patriarch of the Clan. I am more of a.. backup at this point." Liang Yu moved to the seat Liang Jian usually sat in. "It was supposed to be done later, but this is for the best. Also, the reason I didn't instruct you to go out. This suits you better."

"Eh, but what will you do then?"

"The Family's guardian or something. It doesn't really matter. Just follow the laws laid down and the city will prosper. Ugh.. we have to make this all work."

"Then that should make things easier." The middle-aged man said. "I am a member of the Physician King's Vale."

"Not interested, the Physician group of your is pretty good but I already have several medical maters in place. My people are highly trained and their skills are increasing by the day." Liang Yu shook his head in dismay. Not wanting to hear much of anything else from them. "Besides, your daughter is to young for my liking. If you would have checked the laws for the city, no one is allowed to marry "children" here. It is against the law. And as long as I still breathe.. it will not happen here. No forced marriages either. I rather see the whole city burn up in flames then have that type of nonsense prevail here."

"Hehe, easy cousin." Liang Jian smiled awkwardly. "They are outsiders and just don't understand things." Turning to the guests, he composed himself. "The proposal you offered is nice, but the parties that are involved refuse. So no exceptions will be made and best not to bring up that kind of thing here."

"I see. Such are the times when youngsters are in charge."

*Doom!* The chair the man sat on buckled. The pressure applied to him came from Linlin. She would not let a slight go against her husband so easily.

"Apologize to my husband at once!" Linlin's eyes could almost kill with the intensity they showed. "If not, don't even dream of leaving here alive!"

"Forgive me, I miss spoke!" The middle-aged man backtracked. Seeing as she was so young he didn't take her seriously but the powerful qi she had made him tread carefully. His daughter was strong but not this strong. "An Alliance but not one of medicine then. I am sure buying from us would not be a problem."

"You are correct." Liang Jian answered. He gestured a guard to bring in some gold. Herbs were defintely something they needed. "Herbs we need, medicine we do not."

As business was now the focus more than the selling of his daughter to a member of the Dark Moon Family the next few days were relatively peaceful. But trouble was still coming.

Ling Yun arrives as well as Lin Yin-

Liang Yu was cultivating in a room. The bodies of the few people that died when The Imperial Army arrived were ground up and used to produce several resource pieces. Inscribing into onto glass, it was divided out to several people of promise.

While he cultivated a woman arrived with a few others in tow. Escorted to his location by Liang Jian and Linlin. Ling Yun's group looked on with envy at how close Liang Jian and his wife were. Something that none of them ever experienced at the Youlan Palace.

"Cousin..." Liang Jian called out quietly. He didn't want to interrupt anything but he was aware that this was an important guest. "..the musician is here."

"Hmm thought you would be here sooner." Liang Yu gave them a simple greeting. Please have a seat and start if you are ready." Ling Yun nodded and sat up her instrument. So did the other women with her. The encircled Liang Yu and started playing softly.

Hearing Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata on a Xither was defintely one of the strangest things he heard. But also left him pleased. Activating Metal Seed, the pulse ability helped carry the sound throughout the entire Dark Moon Compound.

The dreary comforting sound caused the populace to be overcome with sadness. But the pulse of the Metal seed also carried Liang Yu's Star Martial Energy. Everyone it touched felt their health and cultivation increased.

*Woosh!* A purple maelstrom covered the area. The Heart Method gathering the qi into one location, which was where Liang Yu was. Going with th feeling he felt before when traveling a few days ago, he opened his mouth wide sucking the maelstrom in.

"Such a sad song." Linlin said. Her head resting on Liang Jian.

"So much qi..." Liang Jian could only look up eyes wide as the purple qi was absorbed by his cousin. "..can not be good for someone."

Unlike the power of the song she played last time, their was no stirring of joy but of sadness. Only the pulse from Liang Yu helping the people overall. Ling Yun was determined to never play this song again after performing it from the Dark Moon Family.

'All for the complete piece, that is all that matters.' Ling Yun kept her sole focus on the song the same as her sisters. 'Why would he give me such a sad piece back then? Was to create problems for everyone? That can't be right especially how when traveling here the populace were really happy.'

As the piece continued for another 2 hours, Liang Yu refined all the Purple qi. It was only enough to allow the Flame Vortex Core to push forward into the 9th Heavenly Realm. Each of his techniques were just at the scope of breaking through higher.

Finally unable to play anymore, Ling Yun and here sisters stopped. Streams of tears finally stopping as they rembered the worst time of their lives during the song. Only the pulse from Metal Seed allowing them to keep going this far.

"I will never play that song again." Ling Yun voiced.

"A pity." Liang Yun handed over the rest of what she wanted. As well as one he prepared to give her for good work. "Learn it our not, but don't cause trouble with the philosophy you learn from the place you live in captivity while recovering. "Liang Jian.. you ok?"

"Yes.. but are you?" Liang Jiang stares at the purple lines all across his cousin's body. It looked like he was poisoned but that was not the case. "The Heart Method will not end well for anyone."

"I know but it is to prepare me for something even more... dangerous." Liang Yu didn't want to tell him about the Deadly Cultivation Technique in the Heaven Reaching Tower of God. "She is back."

Lin Yin returned with members of the Shadow Group. They were dismissed to return to their homes as she reported the current events directly to Liang Yu and Liang Jian. By the grave look on her face, a lot of things were not good.

"She" has shown back up in Blue Carp Town." Lin Yin was reluctant to report but knew how dangerous it would be if this was allowed to fester in Liang Yu's heart. "She is not in the Heavenly Realm... are sure about this?"

*Crack!* The floor broke under Liang Yu's feet as he stood up. His cultivation free from restraint. No words were spoken as he shot out the window as a bolt of blue-white lightning. Small traces of purple following behind.

The Flame Bird Popeye flying high following him. The others circling around the compound until given the order to follow by Liang Jian.

Azure Feather Family-

Ye Xinghe just removed the blood from Shangguan's body for her upper half. The poison she was infected with was more than she could resist on her own. It was bad enough her injuries caused her to barely escape alive.

"It worked just as I hoped." Ye Xinghe sighed in relief. Considering how much she had done for him, he wanted to repay the favor at least a little. Seeing the rest of her veins bulging from the poison, he looked past her midriff lifting her .. clothing. It could barely be called that really. "My apologies, Lady Shangguan but.."

"What are you doing here Patriarch Liang Yu?" Old Ye asked. The intense look of hatred cast over the place was nothing to take lightly. "If we have offended you in any way.."

"You have not, but a woman has entered here that I must pay a beating to." Liang Yu could feel his cultivation still circulating. "Tell Ye Xinghe to bring her out here or I will go in to get her!"

It was not a request but a powerful order. He was so angry he could barely focus at all.

"Caww!" Popeye flew above the city keeping watch. It already spotted the wolf, White Fang coming over with a few others. With a flap of the wings, a firewall encircled the beasts. "Cawww! Caww!" Its cry rang out loudly as a warning for them not to go further.

Not to far away, the other Fire Birds were on the way. Cutting flame streaks all along the sky.

A few moments later.

"You.." Ye Xinghe was taken back. "..you are alive."

"Alive.. what do you mean?" Old Ye shook a little thinking the worse. "Did you have a lady in your room? She is an assassin that tried to kill Liang Yu."

The other members of the Azure Feather Clan looked on with dreadful looks.

"An Assassin... I don't know what you mean."

"Can't resist anymore!" Liang Yu felt his flesh break off in a crumble. Rich powerful qi erupted in his body. No way of hiding it as it was a very pure Star energy that washed out. "AAahhh!"

A large pillar of flame shot into the air burning hot enough to distort the area. The villagers ran far away not wanting to burn to death.

A large black dragon spread its wings within the flame before it was engulfed by the white qi inside. In an instant, it turned into a thinner blue-white dragon almost as if it was made from a crystal statue of sorts.

The qi swirled around then shrunk. Warping the area even further. Liang Yu reigned the power in with his Flame Vortex Core spinning. His cultivation was bursting at the seams due to his mental state.

*Tap!* He kicked off the ground heading directly towards Shangguan. Noe patience to entertain Ye Xinghe's lies. A Flame Lance and Lightning Lance in each hand.

"What are you doing!?" Ye Xinghe yelled out.

*Boom!* An explosion was let loose in the area. A shockwave following immediately after. Out of the smoke, Shangguan flew out and landed on a house.

"A nice little burn mark on your face from the last time..." Liang Yu was already using his next attack as he jumped forward towards her. ".. let's make the rest of your body scarred to!"

Flame Explosion was sent out. It was a diversion as lightning ran on the ground towards her to keep her from running away. It jumped onto her like white on rice. The air around her generating more lightning that acted as a cage keeping her from gathering qi for an attack.

"You started this fight yah know." Liang Yu channeled qi into his arms as his feet dug deep in the ground. The Metal Seed spinning as a hum built up around him. "I just want payback for back then."

Right before his attack was ready to go, an ice wave got in his way. A wave of the hand sent intense flames out melting it in an instant. The remaining shards were blasted away and sent into the surroundings.

"She is injured.. how is this a fair fight!" Ye Xinghe stood in front of Liang Yu protectively. "What gives.."

"Fuck off boi!" An infused fist knocked the fool in the chest. Cracking his sternum before flame engulfed him. Both his hair and clothes were scorched. "She is in the Celestial Levels, that didn't stop her from fighting someone in the Heavenly ones!"

Taking a deep breath, Liang Yu used the Dragon Cry on those who were charging over. Increasing the amount of qi inside, caused the sound waves to shatter the bones in the attacker's bodies. Still alive for the time being, several experts at the 7th Heavenly Realm were now defenseless.

*Swoosh!* With a grab with Astral Sense, they were all pulled towards him. The limp bodies were thrown into the air and picked apart by the Flame Birds. In seconds they were reduced to just limbs then into ashes.

*Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam!* Liang Yu started to rain down punches using Dragon Aura Fist. Each blow causing a hum to go out. Shagguan's nerves and skin started to separate with each punch. Her bones rattling as the tendons started to separate.

Each blow was filled with utter hatred as Liang Yu vented everything onto her. The pain from when she attacked him previously. The way so much could have been stopped if she would have just acted herself against what was going on. The state of the entire country could have been fixed if someone just would have done something instead of acting like they were above it all.

*Swoo!* Liang Yu pulled back as the Lightning cage broke apart and the qi was sucked into his fist. He delivered a haymaker that cracked the woman's skull in three places. Causing a brain bleed in the demon fish.

"Damn.. you..." Shangguan tried to get up but her body was to badly damaged. The poison in her still remained a little. Looking at the change in the Flame Birds from normal ones in the sky, she felt regret. "Those Demon Beasts... what did you do to them?"

Despite the damage to her body, she was still able to talk and think. This only made Liang Yu want to kill her even more. As the weakest Celestial Realm person around, she would give a lot of insights into matters.

"Made them more than mindless beasts ." A lance mixed with fire and lighting was in his hands. The Robes he wore flowing from the pressure emitted. "Should have never attacked me back then little fishy."

"Don't pretend to know anything!" Shangguan's eyes narrowed at the fact he knew her identity. 'If he is on the side of the Emperor then all is definitely lost!'

"You competed for the Ultimate inheritance nonsense a few centuries ago. The current "emperor" was alive back then causing trouble. The ancestor of the Azure Feather Family obtained one part whereas his sister obtained the other. He fought bravely against several Demon lords and stuff but was struck down by his student. The current "emperor" is causing so much trouble. So only the trouble caused is a good bt the fault of the Ancestor of the Azure Feather Family."

"Kuk!"

"Settle down!" Liang Yu delivered a blow to her solar plexus. His energy running through the body of the demon fish turned human to help understand Demon Beasts more. "All for the sake of resurrecting your father I believe it was. But that didn't happen, did it? You lost and the Ancestor of this dying family spared you then healed you. Which is really.. dumb."

"Grr!" Shanggun mustered her qi to counterattack but failed. The disruption to her qi causing the poison to run more rampant in her body once more. "Uggh!" Her head lolled to the side as the grip around her neck tightened.

"You became a follower of his afterward and made those promises that you never kept. Hid away later never really doing much for years. Because of safety, nothing wrong with that. But it kind of sucks though... how the Imperial family didn't help at all considering the Azure Feather Family is related to them. Ahhh, I digress though, not much else I can obtain from your body. "

Shangguan tapped against his arms and started to kick with all her might. But it was like a child's struggle against an adult. Actual fear on her face for the first time in years. Ye Xinghe made eye contact with her and she started to cry a little.

A few drops of water pooled together into water bubbles. They whipped around trying to attack him in the back but fizzled out as he used Fire Body. The intense heat causing the woman to flush in pain. Her very blood boiling alive in her body.

"Ling Tian, will cause so many deaths that most things do not matter anymore. Your movements.. were correct. Well except against me and choosing Ye Xinghe to pit your hopes on. With out the power of the Steele inside him, I doubt he would make it this far. Such a strong devotion to a man who ultimately dies by sticking his dick everywhere and in places he shouldn't." The comment was more about the Ancestor of the Azure Feather Family.

*Schlick!* Stabbing her in the heart, the vortex qi was sent through her entire body once more. Shangguan's head tilted back as she looked at the sun. A pair of hands wrapped around her head giving it a snap.

"No!" Ye Xinghe screamed in horror. Seeing her lifeless body was not the end of it, however. Liang Yu picked her body up encasing it in flames. "Put her down!" He charged over with the halberd in hand.

*Bam!* A solid blow directly to the chest sent him flying back. His body rolling a few times before stopping.

"She is dead by her own actions the same as Lin Hong." Liang Yu watched as the golden glow left from Ye Xinghe more. Destiny was no longer on his side by the looks of things. Or to be precise, he was to broken to receive its help naturally. "The rebels were happy to kill him after his betrayal."

"Please.. don't hurt him!" Ye Xinghe's parents came over in front of their son. "This should be enough!"

"Your son tried to hide someone who tried to kill me." Liang Yu's qi was steadily rising. The Flame Vortex Core grinding away at Shangguan almost hungrily. Fueled by his anger, her body was already completely gone with only her qi and soul getting refined still. "Got in the way of me trying to get my revenge against this person. Even attacked me with the intent to kill."

"Ughh." Ye Xinghe looked up trying to get his strength. Seeing his parents struggling so desperately, to protect him, all he felt was shame.

"To let him go, would be foolish." Liang Yu lifted his hand up halting those who wanted to come over to stop him. "You have to ask yourself, is he worth it? Even at this point?"

"He is my son! He will always be worth it!" He Yan shouted definitely. A rich golden qi surrounding her body. "Just spare him!" By the looks of it, none of the people present could see it.

Her husband Ye Zhuo stood in front of them both unflinching.

"Very well then." Liang Yu looked at the mother. "Cripple his cultivation with your own hands."

"What!?"

"You heard me." Liang Yu's eyes glowed a dangerous purple. Even overshadowing the blue-white qi around his body. "Do not make me repeat myself."

"That is enough!" A voice boomed from above. A woman with bright green eyes descended down. Accompanied by Yun Ling and a few other females. "Enough blood has been spilled here today!"

"Oh, another pretender that wants to act as she cares about this family." Liang Yu was not hopeful on defeating this woman or her disciples in his current state. Up above Popeye circled down looking very different. "Oh... well actually I could cause some more damage."

"Yes, we could master." Popeye said very powerfully. He had stepped into the Celestial Realm and had an overwhelming level of fire on display. The only thing protecting everyone from the intense heat that continued to grow, was the fact the other Fire Birds absorbed the energy into themselves. "We are with you and ready to turn this area into scorched earth!"

*Caw!* The other Fire Birds screeched out one by one. Their wings creating a powerful gust of wind that formed into a fire tornado up above.

"Well, don't discount us!" Ye Yue appeared with the wolves in tow. A wild qi swirling around all of them.

"The Dark Moon Family does control this area still." Liang Jian had his weapon in hand and pointed it out at her. "Here I thought we would get along so well considering the performance by the Youlan Palace earlier."

"It is all one can expect from such a woman." Lin Yin said. "If the rumors about her are true, she is no better than.. well Xia Yuning's mother really."

Lin Yin's words cut deep. Tianyin knew exactly what happen to the woman and was livid.

"Having people you actually trust to fight with, goes a long way. I doubt you have many of those. Or do you False Goddess Tianyin?" The Flame Vortex increased in speed speeding up the recovery process. A flicker of doubt flashed in the woman's eyes. She believed she would win but the outcome would not be good overall. "What's wrong, scared to duke it out? Won't have the strength to fight against the "emperor" if you do."

"You little wretch!" Her prestige was gone as her face twisted in fury.

"I am a big wretch!" Liang Yu punched out with all his might. His eyes going wide not from the clash of the attack, but a tear in the Dimension he spotted. A fight here would not end well until the place stabilized more! 'Screw it!'

With the direction of Astral Sense, he directed everyone to get ready to leave.

*Boom!* The surroundings were torn up from the brief clash. The people with Tianyin shielded the Azure Feather Family members.

"Hmm?" Tianyin watched the Flame Birds fly high into the sky with Liang Yu running directly towards her. "Foolish boy." She said disdainfully. With a wave of her hand, she went for a strike but hit nothing but air. "What!?"

*Bzzt!* Liang Yu turned to lightning then reappeared to her side. His fist reforming empowered by pure flame as he delivered a blow straight to her liver. The impact was blocked by Tainyin's powerful qi. However, her blood flow was disrupted a little.

Tianyin's fist cut in the air but missed. The force of the blow causing Liang Yu to slid back a little. Stomping his foot on the ground to keep himself from going far, he lunged forward delivering a resounding clap.

*Clap!* Tianyin was engulfed in flame and lightning. Her qi acting a protective shield against the attack. Her eyes narrowed at how dangerous the attack could have been if she was not at a higher level than her opponent.

*Flash!* Blinding light left from Liang Yu as he shot past. This burned the retinas of most of the people in the area. It was a terrible thing to do, but.. better than them all getting sucked into nothingness.

"Cursed coward!" Tianyin flailed about not hitting anything in her temporary blindness. A small spark touched her shoulder as Liang Yu shot a bolt of concentrated qi at her while leaving. Emptying out his Dantian to do the utmost damage possible. "Tch!" Turning her neck, she was further infuriated that her body didn't move.
