Wedding Day

Min Yoongi POV,

"Yoongi~aah ... I can't believe that I'll see you getting married", said my mother, wiping her wet eyes

"Oemma, don't be sad, you should be happy, okay ?", I replied smiling at my mother and hugged her

I am currently in the waiting room of the groom. I just finished preparing for my wedding. I have mixed feelings right now, nervous, scared, excited and so on.

This marriage is indeed a marriage that my family has arranged beforehand. At first I was shocked when my mother and father said that the Han family contacted them and talked about uncle Han's will.

I thought the will was gone, because it's been almost 12 years, the letter, Sofia and Aunt Jen's whereabouts are unknown. Our family did get to know each other in just a short time, only about 8 months. However, my parents' friendship with the Han family was very close.

When I met Sofia after such a long time, I can't describe how I felt at that time. I could easily recognize her by the color of her fiery hair. But I was quite surprised because she didn't remember me at all.

"Oemma is going to meet Sofia, we will meet at the reception, okay?", Said my mother smiling as she stroked my face affectionately

"Ye oemma", I replied

When my mother had left me alone, I looked at my reflection in the mirror. There is a feeling of guilt inside me for hiding this marriage from the members and the company. I did this because of my parents' request. My mother really felt that she had lost the Han family and when she could see Sofia again, it seemed like she had found her lost daughter again.

* knock knock

I turned my face to the door, and saw my father standing at the door, smiling at me.

"Look at my son, so handsome", said my father walking towards me, raising his hands forward to hug me

"Appa", I replied to his embrace

"Gomawo Yoongi~aah, thank you for doing this. I know, maybe your feelings for Sofia have changed, but I hope that slowly you can find back how you feel for each other. That little girl lives alone. I know that you can take care of her like you once told uncle Han. I'm counting on you", said my father in a choked voice and teary eyes

"Ye", I said, lowering my face

Right now I really don't have any feelings for Sofia. In the past, when we were little I really loved her, like my own little sister. But now, I don't know how I feel about her. She has grown into a beautiful girl, very beautiful in fact. But I feel that she is not the same little girl I knew before.

"Excuse me, it's time for you to get ready, the wedding ceremony will start soon," said a wedding organizer staff who approached our waiting room

"Ye, kamsahamnida", replied my father

"Congratulations my son, in a matter of minutes you will enter your new life. Love your wife and your future children. I'm sure you can be a better father than me", said my father patted my shoulder in tears

"Appa, gomawo", I replied, bowing my body

"Okay, I will meet Sofia. Congratulations Yoongi~aah", said my father and then he left me alone

I smoothed my tuxedo, looked in the mirror one last time and walked out to the reception area.

"Yoongi~aah, chukae! (Congratulations). I didn't expect you to get married earlier than me", my brother came over to me.

"Gomawo hyung", I replied with a smile

We walked side by side to the reception room which was located at the end of the corridor. When he arrived at the reception door, he hugged me and congratulated me once again.

I entered the reception room feeling nervous and anxious. This room is not so big, but it is very grand and beautiful because it is decorated with many crystals and autumn flowers. Flowers and a small waterfall adorn the altar on the stage.

White guest chairs line up neatly on both sides of the stage. Only twenty invited guests attended, only family and closest relatives.

"The mother of the bride and groom, please come on to the stage", MC's voice heard

I saw my mother and Sofia's grandmother climb the stage, greet and bow to each other, and then step off the stage holding hands. Marriage in Korea is not just about the bride and groom, it is more like the union of two families.

"Shinlang (groom) will enter the wedding ceremony room", came the MC's voice announcing my arrival

I sighed and straightened my body. this is it, I thought. I walked slowly down the aisle while greeting the guests who came. I felt my heart pounding like it was about to jump out. When I got to the stage, I bowed to the guests who were come and waiting for Sofia.

Repeatedly I wiped my sweat-soaked palms against my pants. God, I'm really nervous right now. It's better to stand in front of hundred thousands of people at a concert than to have to stand like this.

"Sinbu (bride) will enter the wedding ceremony room", continued the MC

I squinted at the entrance that was slowly opening

My father took Sofia's hand into the room. The room light that had been dimmed turned bright and sparkling. All the invited guests who attended stood up and greeted Sofia.

She is so gorgeous. She wore a simple white dress decorated with pearls around her chest and shoulders. That beautiful dress adhered perfectly to her slim body. A soft smile appeared on her face. Her golden red hair was beautifully tied down her back. She's like emitting a very dazzling light.

"Wooaahh", amazed voices heard from the guests

I also didn't realize that I was gaping while staring at her. I closed my mouth and swallowed hard. I turn my gaze when our eyes meet. I felt the sweat start to wet my back. Damn, why am I so nervous ?, I cursed in my heart.

Then the distance between us getting closer. I can't hear the MC's words, my mind is filled with this girl. Am I doing the right thing ?, what if our marriage doesn't work out ?, oh my god she's so beautiful .... all the things going on in my head.

"Yoongi~aah, I leave Sofia to you", said my father when they arrived before me

"Ye, appa", I replied nervously

My father put Sofia's hand over mine and he stepped off the stage. Sofia and I looked at each other, I felt her hand tremble in mine.

I smiled at her. We walked side by side to the altar. Then we faced each other and bowed. Then a staff gave me a microphone to say my wedding vow.

Usually the bride and groom will say the vows together, but this time we will say our vows to each other.

"Dear Sofia, my wife ...

Today I give myself to you, I promise to always support and inspire you. To laugh with you and comfort you in times of sadness and struggle.

I promise to cherish our friendship as a very precious gift. I can't wait to get to know you and love you in good times and bad. When life seems easy and when life seems difficult. When our love feels simple and when our love needs effort.

I promise to always respect you and all the decisions you made. These things I will give you today and every day of our life ... ", I told her

She bit her lip and tried to hold back her tears when she heard my vow to her. I don't know if she cried because she was moved or because she was sad to finally marry me.

I gave the microphone to the staff and he gave it to Sofia. She inhaled slowly and began to raise the microphone at her.

"Dear Yoongi oppa, my dear husband,

I promise to love you without condition ...

To honor you, each and every day.

To listen and learn from you.

To laugh with you when you're happy,

to support you when you're sad.

To challenge you to become a better person and allow you to do the same for me.

I promise to value our differences just as much as our common ground. And I promise to put all my effort into strengthening our marriage and giving you the best of me.

And finally, I promise to be your friend, your wife, your greatest fan, your companion and your partner in life ....", she said in a trembling voice and teary eyes

I looked at her with emotion. My heart felt warm to hear her wedding vows. I looked at her and smiled.

Then I took a ring and put it on the ring finger of her left hand. With trembling hands, Sofia took my left hand and put the wedding ring on my ring finger.

I looked at her, she looked really struggling to hold back her tears from falling down her cheeks. When the guests applauded us, I took out a handkerchief from my tuxedo pocket and gave it to her.

"Gomawo", she muttered softly

She wiped her tears and looked at me. Then the MC announced to all the guests and families that we were legally married and asked me to kiss my bride.

I walked slowly over to Sofia for our first kiss. I held her hands, she looked like she was about to pass out. When I brought my face to her I looked at her and asked quietly, "May I kiss you?".

Everyone in the room was clapping and cheering loudly, waiting for us to have our first kiss.

She looked at me with teary eyes and nodded her head. She closed her eyes, anticipating my kiss. I'm not a man who would take advantage like this, but I have to do it in front of our whole family to prove my sincerity to her.

I cupped Sofia's face with one hand and landed a light kiss on her forehead. I let go of my kiss and brushed my lips gently on her moist lips. Why is this kiss feeling amazing?.

Clapping sounds all around us. I took my face away from her flushed face. We looked away, trying not to look at each other. My heart was beating so fast it seemed like it was going to explode. I controlled my breath trying to reduce the feeling of chaos in my chest.

After that the MC asked us to bow to our parents, family and invited guests. And then we left the reception room in a haste to return to our waiting room.

Just like that ... our wedding ceremony only lasted less than an hour, but I'm sure I will remember it for the rest of my life ...
