Chapter Eleven

She trailed him, wordlessly. A million thoughts filled her mind with every step she took. After he had uttered that dreadful statement, he had instantly turned and started walking. Anna had no choice but to follow. This was his domain after all, and he did have the power to discard her in an instant. They walked down many hallways, seemingly descending the building as they did. Finally, he stopped in front of an ancient elevator. He pressed the button and ushered her in first then followed shortly after. There was a deadly silence after the doors closed. She dared not question where they were going as she remembered from their training that he hated explaining himself.
