Chapter 19

That woman alighted from the car not long later and walked back to the restaurant. As my eyes drifted towards the heavily tinted window of the car I just shook my head. Although I could not see anything inside, I could already tell what had happened in there.

The woman walked back to the restaurant and directly went to the counter and bought some takeout food. I just silently observe her from the corner of my eyes.

Suddenly, I noticed the woman turning her gaze towards my direction, and my heart immediately skipped a beat. I did not know if I could resist her ability, or how she could activate her activity, but all I know is that I should not directly look into her eyes. Pretending to be blind would also be a good choice.

I could feel the seat in front of me moving and the woman sitting on that seat.

"It did not expect that such a person would be riding with me on this trip." The woman suddenly said with a smile on her face.

"I also did not think that you are hiding your own ability," I replied without looking at her directly.

Suddenly, I could feel something is wrong. Then I noticed another warning in my view.

'Warning! Warning! Psychic energy detected… Activating mind shielding…'

When I read the message, a faint smile appears on my lips. I did not expect that the bead is able to protect my mind.

I could tell that this woman is trying to infiltrate my mind through Mind Control. I did not have to be a genius to know this judging from the warning that I am seeing. However, I did not want to be obvious so I tried to pretend.

'Stand up and follow me…'

That is what I suddenly heard inside my head. I was a bit surprised, but then I did not linger and followed the woman silently.

I soon arrive with the woman on the bus and we saw a couple of people outside and a bunch of police officers are still asking the witnesses of what had happened.

As I listen to the report of those people, I showed a faint smile on my face. It seems that they are still a bit muddled upon seeing the corpses and did not notice my actions at that time.

'Stop, we wait here…' the woman said.

We just waited outside the bus for an hour then the police officers finished their investigation and we were permitted to board the bus by then.

As usual, I sat beside the woman and acted like a statue. The woman on the other hand acted a bit weird. She actually began to grab my hand and rest her head on my shoulder. Although I was acting, I did not expect her to do this.

Her womanly scent wafted over my nose and gives my body the feeling of arousal and stimulation. Plus the contact of our skin made me feel hot all over my body. From my angle, I could even see the deep ravine in-between her healthy snow-white bosom which made a part of my body wanting to react.

With the temptation that I am currently facing, I tried to divert my mind by closing my eyes. As soon as I did this, I suddenly noticed my stats. It seems that something has changed in my intelligence stats.

I swear that I could remember it to be 14, but now I think that my intelligence stats have jumped and gained 6 points and are now at 20. Then I also noticed that there is fading +10 number after it.

I did not know why it has increased, but I have a hunch that this is because of the mind control trick that the woman just did to me. This might also be the reason why I can hear her words in my mind. Suddenly, I was tempted to do something before that +10 could fade completely.

However, I did not want to do it to the woman as I am acting like her mind-controlled puppet, so I directed my gaze to another passenger in front of me.

That passenger is a man in his 30's and currently has his head tilted upwards.

'There are some dirt on your hair…' I said in my mind as I tried to pass the message to the man.

I am expecting anything and so I just waited for the man's reaction. Suddenly I saw him tilting his head and then tried to touch his hair as if cleaning it.

Seeing the man's action, I showed a wide grin on my face but then changed it immediately as I did not want the woman to notice me.

'Face the window, I want to lean on your back…' she commanded.

I did not have a choice but to obey as she used my back like a pillow. Deep in my mind, I am already cursing this woman for being too indulgent as she tried to abuse her powers. But I also could not deny this strange feeling of contentment thinking that beauty is currently resting her head on my back.

I could even feel something soft touching me from behind.

But what made me indulge her whims is her scent which has made my body stiff in euphoria.

I could not deny that this woman is beautiful especially after she removed her thick makeup; I was truly surprised to see her fresh face.

The travel continues for hours and I did not move from my spot even though she turned me into her pillow. But this is not because I am pretending, but instead, I am currently absorbing the thick Qi in the air.

Although it did not make my Qi go up, yet I am confident that as long as I continuously absorb Qi, my body will still become stronger.

And so after many hours, the bus once again stopped. This time the voice of the driver sounded out as he informed everyone where we are currently.

"Dear passengers, we have arrived at the border of City H. From here on out, we cannot proceed due to the dangerous situation… I hope that you all understand and have a nice trip…" the driver seems to be saying some closing skit as he continuously talks while the passengers alighted from the bus.

Meanwhile, the woman also commanded me to get down.

Soon, we arrive in front of a security gate. The place we are right now is like a small village filled with soldiers. These soldiers are strictly inspecting the people entering the gate. On the other side, I could see many people also coming out of the city. In that place, the security is far stricter than those entering the city.

After passing through the inspection, we soon arrive in front of a wide highway road, and on the side is a vast wilderness.

I then noticed the tall wall the height of a 2-story building behind us. I did not notice it back then as I was busy cultivating, but now I was awed to see the walls surrounding city H. It seems that the nation has truly isolated this city from the rest of its territory.

We followed the road and soon arrive at a junction. The woman then commanded me to turn left as we entered a small path into a thick forest. After walking for around 30 minutes the woman suddenly walked slower as she then commanded me to walk in the front.

I did not think of anything else as I just followed her command. However, I have already heightened my vigilance and have spread my senses all around me.

We are inside a forest right now and I knew that in this place no matter what happened, no one can find anyone who would die. Plus, I can also sense that something is actually following us. I could not picture it clearly but this creature is a bit big, but its speed is also fast.

I could hear the slight rustling of the trees above as the creature stalks us from behind.

As my senses are spread, I also noticed some creatures hiding on some of the bushes on the side about 30 meters away from us. However, I dare not make a move at this time as I wanted to know what this woman is thinking to do to me.

Suddenly the woman behind me sighs heavily.

"I'm sorry… You… you should have not seen my face," she said.

When I heard this I knew that she is going to do something. But how could I let her do that? With a quick movement of my body, I suddenly disappear from my spot.

My quick movement actually startled the woman as she just stood there on the spot and was not able to react. She suddenly looks around her trying to find my figure, but I am already hidden beyond her capability to find it.

Then I noticed that hiding creature suddenly pouncing towards the unsuspecting woman. But as soon as that creature was about to hit her, its attack was actually blocked by a thin almost transparent energy surrounding her body.
