...

Ethan opened his eyes to the sound of his sister's voice who seemed to be laughing for some reason in the early morning.

Running his fingers through his hair, He stood up from the bed and walked towards the window to see what was happening and when he pulled the curtains open he saw his sister running after the dogs.

"What a child." Ethan said as he was about to close the curtains.

He stopped when his eyes fell on a particular person, Patel. She was sitting on the bench with his dog Max sitting beside her.

Raising his eyebrow in questioning, He continued to look at that girl and his dog, Max, Who seemed to have gotten close to that girl.

Ethan felt angry just by looking at her. His mother made the wrong decision by making her stay here with him in the same house, But he has his ways and he will make sure that she will leave this house soon.

Closing the curtness, He went back to the bed, Thinking about what to do about that girl.

...

Outside the mansion, Patel watched Alice as she ran after the dogs playing with them. A small smile appeared on her lips. After staying for a few days here she noticed how different this family was from hers. They seemed happy and living their lives normally, Unlike The life she was living.

Patel noticed how she missed a lot of things in her life, No, She came to believe that she wasn't living, She was Imprisoned, She doesn't know the first about living a normal life.

But what kind of life do I have here? She asked herself as she stared around her.

Patel looked beside her at Max who was sitting beside her, She placed her hand on his patting it gently, Max lifted his head looking at him, His sharp blue eyes staring intensely at her as he was looking through her soul.

She once read that dogs can sense people's feelings if they are sad, happy, suffering, or in pain. She wondered if this was right. Is he able to sense the sadness she was feeling?

Patel stroked Max's fur with her fingers gently feeling the softness of it against her palm.

When dinner time came, Patel didn't come to sit with them at the table, She didn't want to meet that man and also she felt that it's not her place to be there as she wasn't part of the family, Her dinner was sent to her in her room but like the last two days, She barely touched her food except for a few bits.

She was missing her mother and wished that she could see her. She wondered what her mother was doing right now.
