Best Friend

Rhea stayed silent because she had no idea what else to do. There's no way she could go ahead and start a conversation with him after everything that happened. She was already flustered enough to see him sitting in their living room. Her father had just told her that he wanted to see her. If that was the case, then he must have some unfinished business with her. So Rhea sat there, without speaking even a word. Her lashes were lowered and her eyes were fixated on the table before. She looked uncomfortable. 

"Forgive me," he spoke. His voice... It was hoarse yet so powerful enough to make her heart shake. Rhea had to curl her fingers to grapple herself. 

"I didn't mean to hurt you. I was just stupid," he continued. 

Rhea could only remain silent about this. His apologizing then to her was not enough to prove his feelings. It was still shady as it always had been. She didn't want to enter than loop again.
