Guest. Part two.

News, television, all this created the image of all humanity before my eyes.

And all of a sudden, I wanted to create my own little world where I could watch a person change.

This thought came right when I was giving a lecture, the last lecture on the meaning of life.

After Edelweiss came to my grandfather's house, I suddenly wanted to create something like a holiday home for people.

The house had seven rooms, and each of them was empty.

I've decided that these seven rooms, I'll rent out.

Of course, Joseph was not happy with the news, but nevertheless, he could not hide the happiness that I would now live in this house.

Maybe all the time.

After Leon disappeared, I suddenly realized that everything around me was empty. And I had to leave, too, and start thinking new.

After announcing that the rooms in the big house were being rented out, I packed up all the other things and locked the door behind me and closed my eyes.

Here, as people say, every corner reminded me of the days when I was different.

And Leon's presence here was felt like never before. I didn't like that feeling.

Therefore, together with the bright sun and clouds, I, holding a cat, left behind my past life and moved forward.

Forward, perhaps to my dreams.

"Skye, do you really want to rent out these rooms? Do you think your grandfather would be happy about that?"

"My grandfather was happy for any guests. Besides, I just want to do something new in my life."

"Do you know who's coming? And what if they are some dangerous people?"

"Don't worry."

"How could you ever get such an idea? Open a holiday home! You're going to call this place a sanatorium."

"There is beautiful nature here. And besides, I'm thinking of starting writing a new book. And people are just going to help me in this," I said, and noticed Edelweiss walking in the garden.

All this time, Joseph took care of every plant and flower. So, the garden still looked the same as when I was a kid.

Rose bushes and other bright colors created different aromas and when you stepped on stone path, which led directly into the small gazebo, and you find yourself in the middle of nature.

Here, the summer lasted like an eternity.

Walking along the stone path, through the flowers, I still felt the presence of my grandfather, who loved to spend time here.

Noticing me, Edelweiss, got a little nervous and said, "Good afternoon, Professor."

"This garden has existed since my childhood. I used to read different books here."

"It's very beautiful here," he said, and the sun's rays completely covered him.

It seemed that he was standing shrouded in a golden veil.

The buzzing of bees and the warm summer wind suddenly awakened in me the images of my future book.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

"Professor, it really won't make you uncomfortable, will it? If I stay here for a few days?"

I opened my eyes and at that very moment, the sun was touching his brown hair so that I thought Leon was standing in front of me.

"Leon," I accidentally whispered.

"Professor?"

"You can stay here. In addition, this place will soon serve as a holiday home."

He smiled and said, "I see you want to change your life."

"Yes. It's true."

"You probably think that something is wrong with me. Look, there are a lot of possibilities in the world right now. What am I doing? I'm just trying to understand myself and my dreams instead of getting money and starting to live," he said, making a sad facial expression.

"I don't think you're weird. Maybe that's who I am, too. I've written a book about dreams, but now I can't understand what I'm dreaming about."

He laughed for the first time, and I noticed that he looked like Leon a bit. Or I wanted him to look like him.

"I think your dream are simple things. Such as love, friendship, kindness, calmness, harmony," he said, looking at the shadow on the ground.

I, covering my eyes from the sun, found in his words a share of truth. Perhaps what he said could be true.

Dreaming of love, kindness, harmony, isn't that what I need?

"People are chasing the material world, thinking that it will all last forever. But in fact, they overlook such simple things as love or peace. Such as understanding. Don't you think that people, dreaming about many things, suddenly forgot about what is most important? And now when they have everything, they have forgotten about such simple, but necessary things. Sometimes, when I think about it, I'm afraid that people change to the point where they start doing evil."

I liked the way he thought, and I even began to understand what my dreams were.

"And that's my answer. Professor, before I become who I want to be, I want to understand and find love, harmony, kindness, and understanding. After all, without it, the dream cannot be achieved."

"You're right," I said, and looking into his galaxy-colored eyes, I suddenly realized the whole truth.

"So, your book is not about achieving your goals and becoming rich. You have written about the human soul, about the heart."

I was inspired by his words and I wanted to start writing and creating.

And I said, "You're always right, Leon."

Without noticing what I said, I asked, "Did Joseph show your room?"

"Yes. And professor, I have a question. How much does a month's rent cost?"

"You are the first guest of this house, after so many years. So, live as long as you want."

He blushed and directed his gaze at the small fountain in the form of two swans.

On this, our conversation for today was over.

And now, I should have expected new guests.

To my surprise, there were quite a few who wanted to settle in this house. But soon, I became aware of the names of the people who will arrive tomorrow morning.
