In legend, dhampyres were half-vampires with human mothers. They would be born with the strengths of both parents and only a few weaknesses of the vampire. For example, they don’t usually inherit the aversion to sunlight. However, while the orgin of vampires are never explained in depth in the books, there may be something that causes her collapse to be originated in there. All in all, this is a good read and I enjoy it. P.S. Dhampir that originated from Albania had no shadow while Bulgarian legends said they had soft skin.
