There Is Actually a Magic Book! Lynn's Territory Core!

When Lynn entered the study, the first thing he saw was two rows of large bookcases. There were a total of six of them, which made Lynn immensely excited. Even if there was only half the number of cases, Lynn would have made a tidy profit since all books were valuable in this world. Yet, when Lynn walked over to see them his face twisted in shock. Ino must have spent all of his money to buy the magic sword as all six bookshelves were empty except for a single book. Lynn opened the case and grabbed the book, whose title was 'The Reproductive Techniques For Ewes'.

While Lynn had been hoping for a plethora of books, he was not disappointed. The magic tool he received would be worth a magnanimous amount of gold nonetheless, which made this war more profitable than he expected. Also, the bookcase was not of bad quality. The wood was refined with a wax finish, which made it resistant to bugs. Lynn ordered to have it removed and brought to Fenglin Village.

After exploring the study, Lynn went to the next two rooms and looked around for valuables. These areas were where Ino housed the women of the family. The world's law stipulated that there may only be one spouse. However, nobles with a frivolous lifestyle housed several women or men at their homes.

Generally speaking, rooms such as these had nothing of note in them since women who were willing to be raised here may be abandoned at any time because they were only used for special occupations. Women like these disgusted Lynn the most. As those women didn't have high status in the family, they were unlikely to possess valuables. So, Lynn simply glanced around and left.

However, after arriving at the second room Lynn found something amiss. There seemed to be magic fluctuations in the air, so Lynn grew a little cheerful and carefully looked around. Behind a mural on the wall, Lynn discovered a hidden compartment.

"Is it really necessary to hide items in your own home?"

While Lynn complained, he opened the secret compartment and took out a book. His excitement bloomed when he saw the cover of the book. It was a magic book! The book was a relatively valuable one that had contents on thunder and lightning techniques. Among first order magic books, the cheapest one would be the one on the water blade, a spell which could only be lethal if the target was unarmored. The book would cost about twenty gold coins.

In contrast, Thunder and Lightning books were expensive with a cost of at least five hundred gold coins. Although, this was slightly cheaper than flame magic books. This magic book would sell very well, and while Lynn was pondering the costs he noticed that the book had yet to be opened. Though Ino bought it, he must not have been able to master his mana control enough to imbue mana into the book.

Lynn realized something. Where there was magic equipment and books, there must be potions. After looking around again, he found three Thunder and Lightning potions without their spores. Judging from the situation, Ino probably wanted to be a magician but had yet to succeed. As a result, all of the wonderful items that he had painstakingly prepared for himself fell into Lynn's hands.

Once he got the magic book, Lynn was in a great mood as he earned yet another five hundred gold coins. War was really fruitful in making money, it seemed. Lynn confirmed that there were no other magic fluctuations before turning around and heading downstairs. All of the items Lynn took were gradually packed. After seeing Lynn, Lucy rushed over and confirmed that he was uninjured. She felt relieved as nothing seemed wrong with him. Lynn smiled at her.

"Do you want to know how many great items I got?" Lynn asked. Lucy laughed in response.

"All the items are not as important as you," she replied.

Lynn touched her silver hair, then Lynn called Buno who was instructing the movement of the received items.

"Whose money were we borrowing? Call that man over," Lynn ordered.

"Of course."

After ten minutes passed, an old man who had a short stature was brought over by Buno. Lynn noted the man had lizard-like ears when he came closer.

"I borrowed your money, right?" Lynn questioned.

The old man was frightened and made a deep bow.

"Dear Lord Lynn, you do not need to pay the sum back. I have also prepared a hundred gold coins for you, as a gift for becoming a Lord."

The civilians who were walking back and forth stopped and looked over at the spectacle. In response to the man, Lynn took out the money bag he had just found and threw it to the loaner.

"110 gold coins, with extra silver coins as a thank you gift. This can be regarded as payment for helping me."

The loan shark was stunned, and hesitantly looked at the bag of coins in front of him. He wondered if he should pick it up or not.

"I, Lynn, will pay back the debt. If you lent it, you deserve it. Pick it up and leave."

The lender gritted his teeth and picked up the money. He then turned and sprinted away. Lynn ignored him and turned to Buno.

"Have you counted Ino's horses and carriages?" Lynn asked.

"There are thirty horses in total, with two carriages for transporting people and thirty carraiges for moving goods."

"It is worthy of being connected to the city's market," Lynn chirped. "They are ours now. Take them and start the preparation to move the goods to Fenglin Village."

Before this, Lynn had a decent amount of fifteen horses and fifteen carriages. Out of Lynn's and Lucy's carriages combined, only thirteen of them could haul items which limited their ability to transport items. Now, they had increased their horsepower by thirty and doubled the transportation capacity.

After experiencing a war, Lynn very well knew that being able to transport a large amount of items was important. Also, now that he had a general market under his command there would be a lot of exchanging of goods. The forty five horses that Lynn currently owned was far from enough. He needed more! After the spoils of war were almost sorted out, Lynn wanted to continuously improve the capacity for transportation.

"Are you going to live in Maple Leaf city? It is more prosperous and convenient than in Fenglin Village," Lucy asked in a low voice while holding Lynn.

"No," Lynn said while shaking his head, "The market can be managed by my attendants, and I will leave a part of my army here. This city will provide us with a steady stream of capital, but we will not regard this as the core of our territory."

When a Lord's territory increased, there had to be a main territory where the Lord was located. Other lands would be managed by their followers. With the near endless resources from the Maple Mountains, Lynn chose Fenglin VIllage to be the core of his territory.

The key for this would be the security of the location. With the Maple Mountains as a backyard, Lynn could use the land for smelting and planting. Also, with the city wall fully repaired, the territory would be easy to defend as the enemy would have to fight from several directions. More importantly, there was an exit to the sea beyond the mountains.

Maple Leaf City's role was to act as a market and make money. It was almost the same as any different city others managed, but Fenglin Village was the absolute core of the war even if it appeared weak. Lynn thought about this clearly. Those who master force, master the world.

Lucy did not know much about the strategic issues at hand, but she was amicable towards Fenglin village. Of course she would be happy if Lynn wanted to go back with her. With everything being sorted and ready to be transported, Lynn was getting ready to leave when Buno came over.

"Master Lynn, there is a merchant caravan requesting to see you. They seem to have a slave business and wanted to do business with you."If you want to support this book, pls go to f-w-o.com
