"Your mother's personal maid, Ah Mei, was ordered to run away and bring you somewhere save while your parents stalled the enemy. No matter what, your safety is the most important to them."

Ye Ruyi could imagine her parents tried to protect her while stalling the enemy.

"According to my investigation, Ah Mei, could have been almost discovered by the enemy. She made a choice in putting you somewhere in this country. When we found Ah Mei, she had passed away and we didn't know where you are since Country A was huge country."

Wang Jiasi was shocked. His girlfriend's parents were being chased by their enemy.

"We found Ah Mei in City S. We assumed that you were around in that city but we were wrong. You were nowhere to be found. We didn't give up. We searched for you everyday. From days to months to years. Finally, we found you. Ruyi ah, your actual name is Chang Xixi. You are the only child of your parents and my only granddaughter."

Ye Ruyi found that what he said was unbelievable. She never expected she was from the Chang family.

"What happened to the enemy that killed my parents? Were they caught?"

"Fortunately, they were caught and executed. Although I have avenged your parents, I did not have a peaceful life since you were missing for so many years."

Old Master Chang wiped his tears away with his fingers. When he thought of his son and daughter-in-law, he weeped sadly.

He was glad that he found their daughter and was safe and sound.

"Can you tell me where you grow up all these time?"

"I grew up in an orphanage in City C. The director of the orphanage were nice to me and so were the children there. I was happy and they were a family to me. The director told me he found me outside of the orphanage. He didn't know who sent me there, but he didn't abandon me and took me in."

While reminiscing the time she was in the orphanage, her lips curled up and smiled.

Those were the days where she had a blast in her childhood.

Although there were times where she longed for her parents to pick her up one day, as time flies, she eventually enjoy the life she had up until now.

"When I was eighteen, I went to attend the best university where it's location is in City A. I studied for four years and graduated. Then, I work in Wang's Group as an assistant of CEO for two years until now. The man beside me is my boss and the CEO of Wang's Group. He is also now my boyfriend. "

Wang Jiasi was happy when Ye Ruyi introduced him as her boyfriend. His heart couldn't stop pounding.

Old Master Chang eyed Wang Jiasi and sneered. His granddaughter should have a better and worthy man than him as a boyfriend.

When Old Master Chang glanced at him, Wang Jiasi could feel that he was being ridiculed by him.

He felt that the future grandfather-in-law was not fond of him.

"Ruyi ah, are you willing to go back with me? You are the heiress of the Chang family and you will have to take over your father's company."

Ye Ruyi was stunned. If she goes back with him, her peaceful life will take a drastic turn.

She will become even more busier than usual if she take over her father's company. She's also the heiress of the Chang family.

"I hoped you can come back. That way, I could die peacefully. And I will find you a better man to be your husband and with you together to handle the company."
