For the power system, I personally like the good old FFF Rank -> EX Rank, which is pretty easy to utilize IMO. As for his race, why don't you just make him more human? what I mean is something like Apex human/Ancient human or something like Übermensch which is what all humans strive to achieve. Also for harem members personally I think Rias is a bit overdone at this point, I mean almost every MC in fanfic is always simping on her for just existing and tbh there are more beautiful, mature, and more intelligent woman in DXD like Yasaka but they never get the chance to shine just because the MC is a hero wannabe or has a moral obligation like not stealing someone else wife/girlfriend, etc.
Incubus for race and join rias’s perrage and cause chaos so you can follow along the plot constantly undermining Issie and making him look like the bad guy or just plain stupid like in the HOTD fanfict also since you can also write tjst the system can reject the devil piece whenever it wants to help make sure he doesnt have to do what she says and also is’nt chained down
B. Sona ... He can hide more stuffs (secrets) in sona's peerage and easily get her as an harem member if he beat sona in a game which you know what.... The mc will have a open a route with serafall which will gain him a ally and a harem member. F.other races Make him one of former maou descendant half human and half devil which you will make a peerage and add the innocent ingvlid to his peerage and more can open more root in the devil side (sona,rias,serafall,etc) Just sharing some of my opinion You can disregard it. D and F, to be honest. I seriously didn't like him telling them his sacred gear name. I mean, he shouldn't know the name of something he was never aware of. You are getting me? He is just a 'normal' human how knows 'nothing' about the supernatural world. Then how did he know about the name of his Sacred Gear? This can only be explained with BS like he got memories of previous hosts or that, just like ddraig, there is a soul residing in it. Issei never knew the name of his sacred gear after all. That talk should have gone something like this; What is the name of your sacred gear? I don't know. First time hearing something like this exists. What is its power? I don't know. I just instinctively use it. I just got it a week ago, no way I would be able to know what powers it has, right? Then what was that you used against Issei? Well, you know, it looked like a shield so I, as any normal person would, thought that it was a shield to block the attack. All in all, instead of acting frustrated and forced like a criminal in an investigation, he could have acted with a cool mind while answering vaguely and suggestively, guiding them in his pointed direction.
