magitech engineering could be a combination of many different aspect of other professions such as enchanting, magic arrays, mundane engineering, blacksmithing, advanced magic/spell/mage knowledge and any other one you want to add(maybe even alchemy) it having some many different aspects make it a very comprehensive profession but with its broad scope it covers makes it even more difficult to advance the aspects of each profession it uses are not completely used but knowledge of each helps with it magitech engineering could likely be a legacy/reward/hidden profession from some hidden quest/mission that has high difficulty
