ummm to say at the end of the POV I felt that even being a Duke he doesn't have that sight to see through people.... um... like we have a hunch on what kind of person standing before us is... he said that she hated the dead, but as I see she just wanted a part of his love, he refused and she changed... I'm just confused that what happened 😕 that made him that blind towards a person who was head over heels for him.. The reason that I have mixed feelings🤯🤯🤯🤯 is that he is not obligated to love her and as said he just married her for her property but neglecting her and not holding responsibility for her and hurting her was verrry bad😑😑
He is still so hatefull, and isn't this trope of "the duke that treated me coldly but actully, never hated me so in this life i will still forgive him... can't we wish for her to be happy without some stupid hatefull man, that not only took advantage of her wealth but he did not even have the decency to treat her with respect..... and no it does not make sense for him to have that low EQ beause, their house should be good in administration, he should know how to read people and he should know that if he does not kiss her on the weading day, he does not go to parties with her, or even look at her then she will not live well, and not be respected in their circle, really his stupidity is so frustrating......and i see that the author does not want us to hate him so then is is probably the ML, but just no, she is better of alone then this jerk!!!!... and yes i know she wants a kid and I wish that for her, but honestly he does not diserve a happy ending and i just hope she and Killian will live happly while he suffers because he was a jerk in the past
I found it interesting, but felt infuriatingly indignant at the same time. I mean, I guess you can't blame Cassius for his bias because of his previous experiences, but I am always a DIEHARD fan of Marianne!!! However, I would appreciate it if you kept adding these POV changes to bring more context into the story.
hmm so all of this is misunderstandings. But u still don't like him. I think Isabelle killed his wife. and he used mc to get rid of Isabelle and trying to gain profits while these two women would kill each other. We know that it didn't happened in last life. Innocent mc turned vicious because of his indifference and cold treatment. and finally completely lost her moral codes. At the end, it was her who lost everything while duke got his revenge. Being used like this, even though she was bad, I feel it's unfair. He held alot of prejudices against her from the beginning when she only wanted his live. I'm sure if he has reciprocated, she would have been good to his son too, her dowry is enough for her own kids(who never existed) with her husband, she won't try to snatch Killian's inheritance. He used her as his pawn, so he is responsible for her misery. Those who believe otherwise just didn't really thought that he is the one who is responsible for everything.
I don't why people is hating Duke or liking a foreign person in first meeting.if people are in higher positions they tend to think most I don't know Duke character much upto now .I can not say he is good or evil.accordong to present life, you can't expect him to love her on the first day of marriage he is suspicious of her may be at first,, after her actions towards Killian he thinks that she is like white lotus trying to show people he is badly treating her and Isabella is adding his misunderstanding towards marrriane .I guess in previous life marriage marriane have gotten impatient with him by passing time and Duke may have started her hating more. Duke behaviour is not justifiable in their marriage ceremony . This is my pov
I like the foreign prince more man. There's an inherent distrust forming a bias against her. I mean she hasn't done that much in this lifetime for this level of suspicion dude. plus it's also interesting to see different perceptions from the same set of actions. I mean it is also the same for me too as a reader right. I don't see him in a positive light to and maybe this negetive perception of him will lead to a character development? maybe an increased pov from his side?
