Well... there is a comic thats going around based on another novel that sounds a lot like this one. Especially the Duke’s name, Cassius. It’s called “I became the Villain’s Stepmother.” It’s not exactly alike though. In that rendition, the villanous stepmother was replaced by a transmigrated reader and former kindergarten teacher. The duke did the emperor’s dirty work and kept the nobility in check through torture and assassination tactics, there was no love on either side of the marriage, and the poor kid was being trainedto become the ultimate villain. He was allergic to apricots I think.
