Ken had always been right about his instincts,
And the moment Azazel came, he felt something very distinct,
The feeling of danger, the feeling of being preyed,
And the angels well aware of this too, simply didn't risk to be played.
The angels agreed that if he was sincere they would give him a chance,
But they must not come near the humans, until a few months passed,
Azazel, growing impatient for the plan to set in motion,
Almost lashed out, and simply forced himself to follow instructions.
He tried to act "kind" as his fellow demons tried to mimic,
But every action they do, Gabriel still felt like they were cynic,
He had a hunch from the start that as Azazel came,
Something dangerous would appear, in his name.
The angels kept a close watch on them,
And every time they'd be too close they won't hesitate to bring out flames,
Nathaniel, the angel of fire simply cannot wait till they get exposed,
As to him, they are demons, that should always be opposed.
Samael, simply did not mind the treatment,
He still loved the angels, and their great commitment,
He loved that they're doing their jobs seriously,
Or else they'd fall to a terrible equivalent.
Mahazael created new houses made of mud,
Strong and sturdy, a trustworthy brand,
While Azael created a river, so the humans could have fun,
As Azazel blew the flying animals, to this location as one.
Samael created torches, so the night won't feel cold,
As Ken peeked from the window, still not impressed by what they told,
He practiced every day, as he feels the demons watching,
Pretending to cheer him on, although Azazel wish him the fate of dying.
Michael felt quite nervous, seeing the demons seem so close,
Uriel assured him, for he too, wasn't amused,
"I feel like they're plotting something,
Yet a battle of forgiving and rejecting is playing in my head,
What if we let them too close and the next thing we know we're dead?"
"Michael, you're overthinking again,
If they are, then let's kill them then,"
"But what if it's too late?
You know, losing you all, may give my heart hate,"
"Fine, if you're too nervous about it,
I'll talk to Azazel, so for now take your seat,
Go talk to Raphael, I'm sure he have lots to tell,
He needs it too, you're both frenetic than well,"
Michael smiles at Uriel, whose heart was pure as white,
Everytime he speaks, he felt lifted in the sky,
He nodded and trusted that the angel would be fine,
Although a small part of him still screams,
That they won't be as safe this time.
...
Selaphiel, with hair the color of roses,
Looked at the humans with admiration,
Hoping they won't end up in loses,
As he've seen too many wars, caused by Azazel's declarations.
Barachiel saw the worried face of the angel of temperance,
So he walked up to him, when he had the chance,
"Are you feeling alright? You look ill for an angel,"
"And who would not? Michael let those wretched demons among us to mingle,
This is the first time in a while I feel like I couldn't control myself,
I couldn't let these people die a painful Death,"
"Sel, you need to calm down, and trust all will be well,"
"And what if those creatures broke out of their white colored shells?"
Barachiel felt the range in his heart,
Selaphiel was the most well-tempered, at least from the start,
Yet now the rare look of worry, is painted in his face,
Afraid that their trust and natural forgiving hearts, will sign the end of human race.
"It's truly hard to be like Jegudiel,
After all, he could smile around those monsters,
Although they're from hell,
And it's hard to be as diligent as Gabriel,
Who followed Michael's command,
although through their kind actions, he told me he dare not fell.
And how about you Barachiel?
You're always as quiet, and reserved,
If I were do ask you,
Trust and forgiveness, do those monsters deserve?"
Barachiel did not answer right away,
Thinking about his words, as he looks down to contemplate,
"Selaphiel, we have seen humans almost as disgusting as those monsters,
Yet it was proven time and time again, that with patience and God, they could have a bright future,"
"You're.. right...I'm sorry, I just...lost myself in thoughts,
But never would I forgive them, if ever they were caught,
I'd prepare the most intricate punishments, if ever they do trick us,
I'd make sure they regret, ever breaking our trust,"
His salmon colored eyes gave off anger,
As he reminisce the many times, Azazel had put humans into danger,
No longer that trusting, he kept close eyes whenever they wander,
They couldn't risk being tricked, well, not any longer.
They were aware their kindness could put them down at times,
So they balanced their love, so they know where to draw it once it shows the signs,
Although somehow, it affected Azazel as well,
Feeling a bit reminiscient, of the times before he fell.
...
Ken always says, "no," whenever Stacy would insist on watching him train,
Knowing there are demons, watching them in plain,
Not wanting the woman, who've been through a lot become a victim,
He makes sure his friends are far away, although they were just as worried for him.
He felt every action watched,
As he continue his well awaited match,
Michael makes sure he's still far away however,
Or else by the time Azazel puts tricks,
He'd be too slow to save him, although more in power.
Ken was aware of the concern so he makes sure not to drop his guard all the same,
For if he ever becomes too close, it's not the angels to blame.
With Azazel's sweet words and his friends' great works,
Some humans cannot help but deem them good.
Some even insisted on living on Mahazael's self-made houses,
Despite Jegudiel's soft pleas, and seemingly endless warnings,
But some people are really gullible, and would trust those who benefit them,
Which truly angers, the hard working Ken.
If something bad happens to them, the angels would sacrifice,
And yet those scenarios, in their heads seem to not take flight,
As his mind is filled with anger, and his chest getting tighter,
He lost balance and fell mid-air, distracted by the thoughts he couldn't bare.
Michael was quick to catch him, although Ken was not as focused as before,
He was worried sick, and Michael could sense it most,
Azazel and his intentions are still unclear,
So Michael, not wanting Ken to be distracted,
Gave Uriel a message, to be delivered loud and clear.
...
Azazel was slowly getting the love and attention from some humans,
Although it can't be helped that some are still distant,
He thanks the team's effort as the demon pulls and inspects a bottle,
Inside was a weird looking worm, which caused the curiousity of Azael.
"What is that?" He asked softly,
"Ah, this? One bite and it'd turn humans to zombies,"
"And just when will you have the chance to get close to one?"
"Ah, soon enough, and after it, poof! They're done,"
"Can it work on angels too?"
Mahazael asked, wondering if he knew,
Azazel wondered, he had just got it from Nemue after all,
That question bugged him, "Maybe, should we tried it first on them?
What's your call?"
Everyone but the strict Samael agreed,
"You must be carefull, you never know what path it may lead,"
"Don't be a bummer, Samael, it will be a little experiment,
Let's try it on a weak angel, and see how it would went,
Don't tell me you haven't thought about it before?"
Azazel tried to convince him, but Samael's wisdom wasn't small.
His disagreement didn't stop the other demons from plotting however,
As they would sneak sometimes, to see an angel whose weaker,
They'd have their plan set, by the time the angels are most vulnerable,
After all, what's much fun, than an angel causing others to suffer?
The training continued, but as time passed by, less are the questions,
Azazel seemed behaved, and far from destruction,
And soon the angels become less wary, but there was one exception,
Nathaniel, who had a personal feud once, with the demon of damnation.
His amber colored eyes
would always seem to look with spice,
Whenever he would see them,
A certain distaste would always rise.
He swore he heard Samael and Azazel discuss once he was on patrol,
Samael convincing Azazel to fall back on his call,
And what's interesting enough is that it seems to be against the angels,
Azazel never learns so it seems, as he replies back with anger.
"Angels were most of the time nameless unless a human suddenly calls him something,
For Jegudiel, he was so, until some sort of heaven to land meeting,
So why would I be jealous of angels? When I can do all and more than they can?
The only difference between us, is that I'm free to sin and run,
I am still worshipped, and so are they,
Although they must not be worshipped,
Because 'it's God they obey,'
They act high and upright,
As I waste my days into the night,
Having fun, expressing my feelings,
As they are still stuck, saving those humans, loving everything.
Are we really supposed to fight who is better?
When I am more recognized? Than the angels you deem stronger?
Angels are boring creatures, both good and bad people seem to know and acknowledge them,
And me? Many people love me even when-
They know I am evil, and so what's to be envious of?
Why are you still defending them Samael? Why are you still soft?
Those same angels voted to throw you in the earth,
Those same angels, who gave low value to your worth,
In reality, those angels have no individuality,
Unless they are freed from those chains of captivity,
Posing as righteous, choking them from their personalities,
So...is it truly I that must be jealous?
Is it truly I? Who have been tricked and lost?"
Nathaniel could not believe what he heard,
As Samael in anger, left without a word,
Azazel was glad, now he had nothing to worry about,
No one to oppose him, no one to doubt.
As he was going back to work, he saw Nathaniel peeking on their hut,
The angel panicked, as Azazel continued with his plot,
As the ground opened suddenly,
As Nathaniel fell unto his trap.
The rain Azael and Azazel made, helped muffle the noise,
The ground's shaking felt merely a clap of thunder, and so was Nathaniel's voice,
His mouth was quickly wrapped, and his hands were tied without a choice,
As Azazel opens the bottle,
And carefully handled the worm whose slightly moist.
"Maybe after it bites your skin,
You'd finally have distinct personality, most angels are missing,
Don't worry, it won't be considered as sin,
As you'd die quickly, as the virus would spread within,"
Those words haunted the angel completely,
As his fire was fought by Azael's water continuesly,
He tried to fight back, but he can only wait and see,
As the worm slowly crawls on his skin, slowly dipping it's fangs completely.
Nathaniel felt the sensation of pain,
As his grunts were muffled by the rain,
Selaphiel however, had a hunch that something's not right,
So he told the angels, to inspect for the night.
But what they hear was a wild grunt,
Yet they cannot see where the creature was at,
It continued to roar, and it woke Ken up,
As his fear was confirmed,
And his first monsters were back.
