After allocating the soldiers in front of him, Edward shifted his eyes to Bruce Caron. Of course, Edward would go for naval warfare as well. He would not miss this chance to use his navy to his advantage. His men were more experienced after all the battles against the pirates and some of Bravos's navy.

Edward had increased the number of ships under his command to the large number of seven hundred and sixty ships. If we excluded the commercial fleet, that would leave nearly five hundred and eighty warships. It was a Large number in terms of size, even more than the existing Iron fleet at this point. Edward's fleets also had fought battles against the Ironborns and sunk their ships into the bottom of the Narrow Sea.

"Bruce, You would lead the fleets secretly and take over the royal fleet. Try more to capture the ships than sinking them. Send one squadron to help Clinn from the sea and another two with me to attack Griffen's Roost." Said Edward getting a nod from Bruce. Edward was planning to use the ships to bomber Griffen's Roost if he had to, but he had thought of another plan so that he could preserve the castle.

"Clinn, bomber the towns if you had to, but you must take them in ten days, understood?" Said Edward as he shifted his gaze to Clinn. He knew that Clinn would receive the most damage after this move, but Edward had to do this. He wanted Clinn to take their attention away from him for a little time so he could achieve his goal in the Reach.

"Aye." Shouted Clinn as loud as he could. He knew that he received this difficult mission because his lord trusted him the most to pull something like that off. He had the determination to uphold his head high when his lord saw the result of his work.

Edward nodded his head before asking everyone to make preparations to set off. It was finally the time for the action to start. Before leaving, Edward stopped Bruce and told him some orders. He was telling him his second plan to takedown Griffen's Roost.

After discussing the final details with his men, Edward decided to make his man, Lance, the castellan of Storm's End during these first battles. Edward had to promise him that he would call him during the upcoming attack against the Reach after sending someone else to replace him and take his place.

Edward took his leave with the ten thousand men and his brother Robert. They set their sight to Griffen's Roost. It would not take long before they arrive there. Edward saw the excited faces on his men's faces and could not help but smile. Everyone was looking for glory, and rebellion was the best way to gain more merits for themselves.

It did not take long before Edward and his army of ten thousand to see the glorious castle of Griffen's Roost. It only took them two hours since they left Storm's End, and the men were still excited while counting the merits they would get. But when the army came near to the fortified castle, everyone was surprised by what they saw.

A squadron carrying the Targaryen's sigil was about to reach Griffen's Roost. Everyone had the same thought. Jon Connington came back with part of the royal fleet. Edward and his men could hear the men in Griffen's Roost cheering as loud as they could. Their lord came to help them in the end and brought the Targaryen with him.

Edward could see his men's morale hit the bottom line after witnessing this scene. They were disappointed as they met the first obstacle before they even started the rebellion. With the help from the Targaryens and the rations they brought with them, the castle could stand their attacks for years. They could not wait all that time only to take a castle in Stormsland. They would not even have the time to fight outside their land. How were they supposed to take down the Targaryen's rule like that? How would they be able to take King's Landing in a situation like this?

It did not take long before the ships entered the Seaward of Griffen's Roost and docked there. The Coningtons were still celebrating. They all gathered at the Seaward to welcome their lord's return, who came to fight against the Usurpers and save them from this dangerous situation.

What happened next was what took everyone by surprise, and everyone could not help but look at Edward with shock in their eyes. Even Robert looked at Edward as if he saw a ghost. Who came down from the ships were not Jon and the Targaryens but Edward's army instead. Yeah, that was Edward's plan to take over the castle with more ease. He did not need to sacrifice his men here in Stormsland against those houses, so he thought of those plans to end their roles as fast as possible.

Edward had asked Bruce to prepare such a thing long ago. In fact, he not only had the Targaryen sigils but all the other houses that had a fleet. Edward had to get prepared for times like this. Since Edward did not want to bomber and destroy parts of the castle, he decided to use schemes like this to take the castle. Edward admired the location of this castle. He would have killed the Conningtons sooner or later to control this castle.

Edward's men, who descended from the ships like gods of war, did not give the Coningtons the time to snap out from their daze and attacked them at once. Edward's orders were clear in everyone's ears. He ordered them to kill till they were pleased, but they had to capture every Connington alive. He was preparing to use them against Jon. Edward wanted to see how strong-willed the man was.

It took only minutes for Edward's men to take control of the Seaward and capture every Connington. After witnessing all this, the ten thousand men army outside could only cheer louder than the Connington's men were. The rest of those men on the wall lost their morals to fight, and most of them threw down their swords as a sign of surrender. Still, some fought, but it did not take long before killing them, especially after the men inside opened the gate for their lord.

Robert did not get the good fight he was promised by Edward since all the powerful fighters got taken down from the start by Edward's men. He was not satisfied with just this as he thought he would fight to his heart content. He could not help looking back to Edward to complain, but Edward ignored him.

Although Edward agreed to help Robert fight the battles he wanted, Edward was not ready to sacrifice his men for Robert's desires. That was also one of the reasons why he did not send Robert with any of the other groups, as only Edward could control him. Edward did not want Robert to cause problems for the others and raise their casualties. They were at war, not playing a game here.

Enjoy.
