Aiden
The moment Aiden returned from his intense three hours of working out and came in through the bedroom door to find Haru still in bed and saw his eyes swollen red, he knew shit had hit the fan. Fuck!
He gathered the boy into his arms and asked, “What happened?”
Haru buried his face against Aiden’s chest. “It’s nothing.”
Aiden frowned. “Haru, I know it’s not nothing. You’ve never cried like this since our parents died.” He tightened his arms around the boy. “I need to know. Please tell me.”
Haru adamantly shook his head. “It’s fine.”
Aiden sighed. Oh, he knew what the fuck was wrong, all right. It was Noah, and he could just guess what had happened.
“Was it Noah?” he asked.
He felt the boy stiffen in his arms, but he didn’t answer him, and he knew he wouldn’t get anything out of Haru. The boy could be stubbornly loyal when it came to the brothers, and he wouldn’t tell tales about one to the other, even if it had anything to do with him.
