You Look Familiar

Kaeden, without thinking twice, rushed towards my side and pulled me into his embrace. I know I said his name out loud, but then I still don't know who he was. He just reminded me of the book I read, but then I don't know this man at all.

As gently as possible, I pushed him away. He looked excited and happy to see, but then he doesn't know. I don't know him but just his name.

"I'm sorry, but I don't know how you are…just your name," I averted my eyes away, not wanting to see the disappointment in his eyes. For some reason, I felt guilty not knowing this Kaeden man, and I'm sure he is feeling the same.

The only time I looked at him was when he gently picked my hands up and held them. His eyes looked sad, but then he kept a smile on. "It's alright. This must be a punishment for destroying that," He flinched as he releases my hand. "You don't have to believe in me, but please trust me. You are someone very important to me," His voice trembled. Though I didn't know, I, myself, was disappointed. Is there a way to cheer this man up?

"Is there anything that I could do?" I asked him, trying to cheer him up, but then he shook his head and said, "It's alright. For now, please take a rest." With that, he left my room. I wanted to say more things, but my head still throbbing from the past few events. Now that you think about it, why am I in this place? Is there something I had missed?

In the corner of the room, I heard a man clear his throat, trying to not look as awkward as possible as he approaches me. "Are you feeling better?" Yustaf asked as he scratches the back of his head. I nodded my head and immediately asked him, "What happened that day? I can't remember."

His face clearly told me he didn't talk about it since it might affect me. But honestly, I'll feel better if I know what happened that day. "It's alright. I'm not scared to know," I assured him, but he still looked hesitant to tell me.

This man though not looking one like it he is rather soft. The way he acts can make others misunderstand, but I think this man isn't a bad person. If he was, he wouldn't care about me at all.

Yustaf sighed out loud, then said, "Don't blame me for bringing some memories you didn't want to remember." I nodded my head, "I don't mind." Though he didn't want to say it, he told me everything from where he saved me in that black room. Though I just hid it, I was honestly scared. But if I don't face it, how will I get stronger?

I know, I myself am weak.

"Miss, are you alright?" Yustaf looked at me with concerned eyes. I got myself together and gave him a smile, "I'm fine," I answered. "Please take more rest. I'll tour you around tomorrow. As for supper, Master said to have it in your room," Yustaf said before leaving my room.

I thank him as he left my room, and now that the room has turned quiet, what am I supposed to do with both of my eyes wide awake. Since no one is in the room, walking around the room won't hurt, right? I got out of bed without any problems, except my legs felt so weak to walk. This never happened to me, and it feels weird to me.

I'll be honest, but the room is so huge to the point I could jog around this place. Speaking of jogging, I remembered I have taken a bath. In the corner of my room, there was another door which I assume to be the bathroom. Though I have a problem, is it alright for me to use this overly fancy bathroom?

I don't even know how to prepare water. Should I ask someone to help me? I jumped back when I heard a knock coming from the main door. I tried reaching my bed, but then I failed to as Bianca came in worried about my condition.

"Miss! You shouldn't wander around. Please go back to the bed and rest," She scolded me, but then I really want to take a bath. I don't feel refreshed at all. Bianca turned her head and sees the bathroom door open. Then she asked me, "Perhaps you want a bath first?" I nodded my head and heard a soft laugh from Bianca. She then said, "I shall prepare the bath."

Thankfully I was able to take a bath, and I feel much more freshened. I think I'll be able to sleep well tonight.

"Is there anything else you want?" Bianca asked me, but I shook my head then said, "No, I'm fine." I honestly didn't want to bother her any longer. I'm sure she was other things to finish. While I'm here in this huge room doing nothing.

"Please ring the bell if you need me," Bianca said as she made her way out of the room.

Finally, sometimes alone. I can't get used to it. Being in this huge room alone. But since they allowed me to stay in this place for a few days, then I should enjoy it to the fullest. It's just for now, right?

Hi guys! I know it has been a while since I've updated this novel. But thank you for those who waited. Unfortunately updates will still be slow but I will try my best to update this novel once in a while.
