Blackening Black

I walk like a frozen dead corpse. All my soul is sucked out after both Nahla and Amber walked off. I don't know how to face or talk to them. I enjoined this jaunt a lot more than I visualized. But everything was too good to be true. I head into the room with my gaze down I can't meet their eyes. They are staring down at me. I take my bag and sling it on my shoulder. Nahla blocks my way and stands in the door frame. She folds her arms. I have to look down to meet her eyes.

"This will be the last time I will absolve you. Consider yourself lucky cause I never give a second chance to anyone. DO NOT TALK ABOUT HIM OR SAY HIS NAME. Is that understood?" Nahla's words ring through my ears. I have never seen her this furious. Nahla is kind, delicate, and sweet. But now she is a small angry squirrel.

"How do you know him anyway?" She asks me pressing her short stout fingers on her temple.

"I won't talk about that." I tell her honestly. She nods and doesn't say anything.
