Chapter 6

Mia POV:

"Students we have a newcomer in our school, Dear, please come on here and introduce yourself." Sir Simon, my literature teacher announced as soon as he plops his stuff on the large desk at the front.

God... I hate this part!!

I act upon his words and made my way towards him, while everyone was boring their gazes on me like I was some kind of an alien.

"Hi, Everyone. My name is Mia Steward and I have just shifted in this town along with my mum. Please take care of me in the future." I said with a slight bow controlling my nervousness as I felt the eyes of some students on me while some were just uninterested and was busy in doing their stuff.

"Well, Mia.. We are happy to have you here with us. Hope you will like our institute. Now take your seat." Sir Simon said with a glint of sincerity in his eyes, while his whole class ignored me totally.

"Thank you, sir." I said and with that, I ambled towards my desk.

The whole class went smoothly excluding the gazes from some girls that were looking at me like a predator.

Maybe they are from Charlotte group. I thought and shook my head. Why am I thinking about useless stuff?!

After taking two more classes and having my paper signed with two more teachers i ambled towards the cafeteria, the cafeteria was huge, filled with boys and girls that were enjoying and chattering. I caught the sight of Mel waving at me.

I walked towards her side, she was sitting in the corner with two trays placed on the table. It seems like she was waiting for me already.

Maybe, I behave a little rude with her. I should apologize. A sense of guilt surged into me as I remembered my behaviour.

Hi mia, How was the classes? She asked politely.

Pretty cool. I said with a smile while taking a seat opposite to her.

That's great. Here I have already taken your lunch too. This is the best they make. Hope you like it. She said while placing the in front me.

Thanks Mel.. I said wholeheartedly.

Anytime. She said politely.

Mel.. I said with a pause...

Yeah. She said while stuffing her mouth with boiled potatoes.

I am sorry Mel, I shouldn't speak to you like that. I said with a guilty expression.

That's ok. There is no need to be sorry. You weren't wrong mia, I just didn't stood up against them before so I was just worried for you and I think that is why I said all that to you.. She said sadly.

It's ok mel, I understand your point. I said while placing my hand on her as to assure her.

She smiled at me. You know what.. You should complain about them and I am with you in this now. She said enthusiastically.

Thanks Mel. You are such a great person. I said with a wide grin..

Hey! Don't flatter me now. She said with a laugh and I laugh with her.

We then finish our lunches with laughing and telling each other our stories. Time past fastly. I took my all classes accurately on their times. My two classes are with Mel, Maths and Biology while in the other ones I am yet alone. All the partners I found in the rest of the classes, weren't I guess interested in the newcomer like me. They were already into groups and teams and they didn't do any gesture to invite me in their league, which is quite disappointing for me, not because I want their attention or I want to be the part of them, but because no one is willing to be paired with me even with the assignments.

The most surprising thing is that, I haven't seen Alex since the incident nor he show up in any of my class. I heard some girls talking about him when I was attending my chemistry class, they were telling each other something secretly I guess...because they were speaking in quite low voice when I heard Alex name in between discussion. I don't want to eavesdrop on their conversation but it was my only clue to know who that boy is as Alex is the only one there. I don't know if the whole happening is in my imagination or if it really happens because according to the reports of the hospital Mel was right and the only thing that can provide me right is Alex himself. Maybe he can tell me what happened? Maybe he can tell me who that mysterious person is and what did he do to make him feared like that? So I pulled myself closer to them, so that I can be in earshot, carefully without making them notice my sudden movement.

"You know, Alex went home early, he didn't even appear in any of his class." The girl with a blonde hair said.

That's not something surprising Erika..maybe he took his girlfriend on a date by dumping his classes. The other girl said with an uninterested look said to the other girl whose name is Erika.

That's not it Cathy, Ryan told me that he saw him running out of the campus. He was sweating and had a fearful expression. She said with a curious look.

Yes, he was fearful because of Him, but he didn't do anything to him then why is he fearful?

wait!! He was fearful and I know the reason because I saw him and that mysterious boy then that means that wasn't my imagination. Alex knew the whole thing, I have to get to him to know what actually happened. What happened that make him run away suddenly? He was going to punch me in the face but he didn't? Why? Because of that guy!! But why? That guy didn't say anything to him. Did he also feared that guy? Ahhh!!!! Who is that person? What trouble Mel was talking about? Did he do something to Alex and now is he coming for me?

Shit!!! I shouted out of panic and the two girls turned towards me and not only them but the whole class gaze was fixed on me including my Physics teacher, Miss Emi.

Oops, Am I loud? I said in almost a whisper.
