in the midst of all these fast food novel, cuttlefish writes a gourmet of a book once again. Is it slow as some people say? if you compare it to other web novel and their underdeveloped characters or cookie cutter plot maybe, but if you compare it to a regular novel i didn't find it particularly slow

Can someone tell me why I should continue reading this? It's both slow and un interesting for the most part. It seemingly prides itself on its author, and yet, does not give you what was so fun about The lord Of Mystery. Most of the Five Star reviews are not even about what makes the book good but mostly about the love for the author. Its seems that the score and rating for this book is mostly unwarranted. Don't get me wrong I absolutely adored the Lord of mysteries but even so im not going to read this novel Because of the author. Don't Get me wrong I wanna read it but for the past 14 chapters, there has only been a few paragraphs about the protagonist and the rest as well as those paragraphs are boring as heck. I try to look up online for someone to give me a reason to stick around but nothing, literally nothing. Can you the reader please give me a reason? Plz Don't be mean! Even though this is a bad review I'm still giving it 5 stars.

I have finished the story. This story for me is sadly not a masterpiece like Lord of the Mysteries. But it is still incredibly good. The story is well thought-out and progression/pace is like a video game. It starts slow and it really starts to pickup. The characters of the story are not 2D and many are not what they seem. The world background is what you would expect from this author. It is a still world not like those books where there is always a bigger, stronger and more mystical place. Everything is set. Also Volume 2 of Lord of the Mysteries have been announced it will begin on the day of Klein's birthday. (March 4, 2023). My excitement almost can't be contained.🎉🎉🎉

So far I've read the first 10 chapters and I would definitely reccomend people give it a try. It seems like it's going to start out kind of slow and have a gradual progression towards action kind of like LOTM. Since it's written by Cuttlefish I'm sure the payoff will be very worth it. The MC has an interesting personality and the setting is very detailed and mysterious. I'm giving it a pre-emptive 5 stars for visibility but also because I know Cuttlefish will do a great job.

I haven't read much of this yet but I noticed one difference of this novel from other cuttlefish's works or most novels in general, this is, they do not show us the thought process of the main character like in throne of magical arcana or Lord of mysteries, they do show us what the mc is thinking, planning or what he knows. Whereas they show us the thought processes of the side charas. I think this makes it a little difficult for us to relate with the mc, I guess I would say this doesn't bring as much excitement when mc does something successfully although the story development, world building and character development of other people are very well written. that's it from me☺

I had left webnovel, due to lack of good novels and dropping all my favorite novels. From time to time, I visit the sites and apps to see whether the situation had improved or not and to keep track of my libraries. I no longer is interested in new novels or read anything on these apps anymore. Nonetheless, almost months later, I am logging into my account, just to add and mark this book to read later on without reading anything. Because this author deserves my respect and attention. I have enough trust in the author to rate this book highly without reading any reviews and synopsis. That's how good this author is.

I love the author, I love the novels he/she has written but I have to be honest here. It is very, very, very, very hard to read this novel. I am not sure why though, maybe its the storyline, maybe its the complexity or maybe it will get better as more chapters are released. I have to give it something though, It is very very different.

Alright, so there's quite a few issues but the biggest is the fact that Shang and Bai almost never communicate with one another; the team members never break away from their normal setup (Shang with Jiang and Long with Bai), which makes the relationships seem rather stagnant; we never see the main character do stuff on his own (as of chapter 500 focuses on the team, and while this is not bad it gets stale after a couple hundred chapters lol). That about it, when it comes to enjoyment I feel that this novels very average. The story's not exactly bad but it doesn't really bring anything awesome to the table either. I feel that concept is pretty awesome, but I feel that the lack of diversity within the story kind of just kills it. I'll read the story even with its flaws though.

I am reviewing this on Chapter 420. That is how far I am. This book is incredible to say the least. Obviously it is not complete so I would not know if it would be like a masterpiece like Lord of Mysteries. Writing Quality/Translation Written by Cuttlefish that love diving and translated by CKTalon. (if that does not explain it I don't know what will) Character Design + Development As of right now, the character design is perfect. Each character is design to fit the role they play. Character do not feel 2D and some in feel relatable. The development of the each character are not in-your-face types of sentences but shown in a subtle way from the actions, thoughts, and words the character says and the progression of the story/plot. Translation Updates + Author Updates Right now we are getting 2 every week day and 1 on weekends. Why? According to CKTalon the author just welcomed a baby girl into the world so chapters will come more slowly. World Background You are in for a surprise. Areas are not shown in information dumps but slowly flowed into existence by story development and bits and pieces from character dialogue. This book will make you paranoid. Every little thing from something so insignificant that are mentioned in the earlier chapters for only a few sentences could be brought back as a plot point or story development. Example (not a spoiler). Just imagine finding a ledger in a small house and finding out later that ledger belongs to a top official that went into hiding and now the words in the ledger start to make more sense.

Im at 37chp and its boring. You can easy tell that story development is too slow making it boring, character of mc is based on madness but it feels like plot armor, world is absolutely not interesting because of very small world perspective.

Vivid story telling and world building. as usual of cuttlefish novels, he has it start at a crawling pace that some find unbearable. but if youve read his other works, you know how great a story it turns once it starts running. for me, im already invested.

If anyone have read a Good Novel (not webnovel) like LoTM and many my then you can definitely tell , that this novel starting like them and So my expectations. Pure Gold 5 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 P.S. :- I REALLY likes that someone making efforts to improve level of quality among shit and trash (99% translation are just repetition, copied and still shitty on this site) Like a diamond 💎 in the (Shitty) sky.
