How did they explain gaining the info from Marcus? The company doesn't know about the Destiny Pearl and Shang hasn't confirmed he's an Awakened to them yet. Did I miss something?
SJ being an awakened is an open secret at this point. The company knows about him, SJ knows that the company knows and yet, they both pretend to be ignorant. Probably because SJ has not shown any hostility and has proven himself useful at his current position. Also, there was that mysterious letter ordering the investigator to drop all active investigations on SJ. I'm sure cuttlefish will pickup that plot thread sometime in the future.
