This book is so strange... I have to start with this why does he have a sliding pole? Is that a thing in China ? Super exclusive clubs for the rich and famous with sliding poles that go to the garage ? This made me chuckle a bit. I mean can you imagine that situation in real life. I had to go back 3x to read if it actually said sliding pole. So we're at chapter 10 and it almost seems like a parody. A doctor without a licence performing a 2-3h operation in 1,5h and everybody is like "OMG she's SO amazing" from the nurses to (of course) the director of the hospital. Nobody worried that the family of the patients can sue the hospital ? Or maybe she didn't do the entire procedure and that's why she finished early ? Of course we know that she's an experienced military doctor but they don't. And then we have the tsundere genius son with weirdly mature thoughts nothing much to say about him yet except that I feel sorry for him. He goes looking for his mom (alone.. why is he alone with bodyguards ? Are they his nannies?) who then proceeds to put him in her office for 2h followed by dropping him off with his dad like he's a package. His dad completely ignores him and starts this weird thing with the FL.. So yeah poor kid. Now the ML, he seems like an exaggerated stereotype ML. He wanted to divorce our FL for years now that the chance is right in front of him and all he can think about is why would she want to divorce him. Which ok I get, if someone I knew was one way and then suddenly out of the blue their personality did a 180 I'd be like what happend to you ? But it's not even about that it's more about his ego getting bruised.. Which makes him hesitate to divorce her? I don't really like the ML I mean he's been married with the FL for years and has a kid and never once did he think maybe we can work this out ? From what I understand the FL was a nice pretty doctor with who loved him, not his money not his power or reputation, and tolerated his shitty attitude for years (btw let's not forget his weird exclusive club with a sliding pole.) I mean she's a pretty good catch. Argh I don't know I always find it strange that in novels the moment a FL rebirths the ML falls in love as though the fl before rebirth didn't deserve a chance.. honestly I'd prefer if we changed ML but I don't think so. So these were some of elements that jumped out at me these first 10 chapters. I'm going to keep reading just to see if there'll be more funny moments.
Let's see...a man that don't cherish his wife, that in the last two years haven't seen her enough and if she decides to divorcce...is she fickle? Come on, for less I have finished relationships. We woman deserves to be loved, respected and cherished with words and sctions, also treat the partner like that. If we don't recieve that what is the point to be in an unhealthy relationship? We must love ourselves more.
