I understand the point you're putting here don't worry about the power levels and I'm writing this story purely to explore magic so mc will at some point try and explore the whole castle one way or another. Well I can't say much negative thing about mc's development or power level but I can do a review an give some ideas. Firstly you don't have to make mc weak or force him to be same or near power level he is not clearly become voldemort level in hogwarts but from what I know and observe to this point only difference Riddle is damn good in intent and emotions while doing wand less magic and if you think our mc even though he did train he is now there pure power wise in my opinion, just he don't have a clear idea how to use it. Maybe you are thinking I am bullshiting but no mc trained so his magical core should be powerful then 1 or 2 year upside in hogwarts becuse as fanfic cominity's opinion about magic its like muscle, even if voldemort is somewhat too talented not just magically but ıq and everything it's never said grindelwald or dumbledore same so it's not like no one can be that level with training so mc at least in early years should be too different, also when people force to make love interest and other students to near or same powerfull as mc (what I mean mc train them and poof they are also op and do things mc does but 1 2 below) it's sucks and there won't be any meaning what mc did before hogwarts. Even now spells he did accio and levitation without wand less impressive so you should show this when he is hogwarts even if mc doesn't show anyone. also there are abilities that mc can gain with just commonsense and training he did magic sight one of them I guess flitwick have also dumbledore but mc is a fucking reincarnator I have always thought in fanfic's always mc visualize magic again and again do wand less magic, but no one give them that power, that can be good in duels also that can be also reason for finding Room of requirements if he can see magic then he can find trails because room connect almost everywhere, actually not even voldemort did visualize magic or didn't mentioned which he just use will and intent also has high talent which harry also has but don't have any other but mc has all of them also he can visualize and imagine which he can do every magic type in time, I never understood why in some in some fanfic's mc (reincarnated or self insert) can't do some specific lesson transfiguration or charms I don't understand why making character weak in that way while there are other ways. I don't know if you made some point or mc delusional but kid nevile using accidental magic while dropping and mc using DAMN accio with wand less magic not same he is clearly prodigy. Also I think you can give mc any ANY inheritance there is probably even none pure blood line in slytherine house even if not there is gaunt line which is confirmed there is halfbloods at least 2 also there is line of people don't have magic which their children can even grand children or even far. So I hope you make parseltongue because we nearly don't have reincarnator plus parseltongue story in whole fanfiction and one we have didn't mention parseltongue I mean mc didn't use at all... Also a reason is chamber of secrets suppose to be a broken place I mean OP why because ravenclaw give students Room of requirements which is damn good but Salazar just make a place with big snake?
