Both Zion and the tall kid from the other team gathered at the center line to get ready to the tip-off
The referee blew his whistle and threw the ball up
Both jumped the high as they could and the taller kid got the ball to his teammates
The person who got the ball started rotationating the ball between his teammates
Shin saw the a kid coming towards him with the ball in hands
He put himself closer to his opponent and focused on the ball
The kid threw the ball to his left side where his teammate were but Shin's hand intercepted making the ball go towards midcourt
Shin reacted fast and runned to get the ball, the kid didn't waste time and did the same
Shin got the ball with a lot of distance between him and his mark
He scored a layup with ease leaving his team at advantage at the moment
[A/N: Spartanburg 2-0 Treher]
The other kid tried to quick pass Himuro and succeded leaving him behind
He jumped to shoot but when the ball leaved his hands Shin was already there to block him
The ball got closer to Zion and tried to catch it
Zion: "Mine!"
Zion got the ball and rushed to the other team's basket
He leaved behind his mark that was too slow to accompany him and stopped close to the net, jumped and scored two more points to his team
The game continued with Shin blocking, stealing and then attacking for almost half of the quart
The kids saw that and changed their strategy
The taller kid from the other team used his body to push Zion with ease and jumped leaving Zion without time to jump too, scoring their first point
[A/N: Spartanburg 17-2 Treher]
Shin: 'They changed their strategy and probably will be using just the taller kid to score now'
And Shin was right, they passed the ball all the time left in this quarter to the taller kid who used his body and height to pass Zion
Shin approached Zion and said
Shin: "Hey let me mark him the next time, I'll be able to stop him"
Zion thought a bit and tried say something to mantain his dignity, but before saying that, he remembered this wasn't like the friendly matches he played before so he nodded
The kid arrived at the three point line and saw someone different was marking him now
Kid: 'It doesn't matter if they change their marks, I'll still score'
One thing Shin noticed about this kid was that he was slow, awfully slow in Shin's vision, he can steal the ball easily from this kid
The kid was dribbling the ball normally, he was going to touch the ball again but he didn't feel it anymore, he got confused and looked behind him and saw Shin running to his basket and scoring
Shin wasn't a person that focused in just one fundament of the game, when he did his new move he made that he can use defensivily too, by focusing his body strenght is his leg and stepping hard on the floor, creating a big impulse that makes he go quickly towards the ball to steal it
The game continued with Zion not letting his mark get the ball, making they lose one player, Himuro and Trent making smooth moves and passes between them and scoring a lot, Shin stealing all the balls from the tall kid and Kagami passing everyoune inside and doing layups
This made the other team despair and made they play worser
The first quart finished with a three points from Trent making the other team gets even more desesperated
[A/N: Spartanburg 37-15]
After a bit of rest the second quarter started with the other team totally destabilized and full of flaws in their defense whose Shin took the chance to score more points and break them even more
At the half of the second quarter the opponent's team couldn't make a single point because Shin and Zion pressured them even more at the defence
After Kagami did some more plays inside their area the game ended with a humiliating 80-17 to Shin's team with him scoring 45 points, 9 steals, 4 blocks, 1 assist and 2 rebounds
The got back to the bench to heard what the coach had to say
Coach: "All of you played well, congratulations, I hope the team continues like this
Zion, you did good but your defence lacked when you got against someone taller than you, you need to know how to mark people that are taller than you
Himuro and Trent, you two did well with the passes and shooting, I hope you continues with the synchrony you had today
Kagami, you did a good job too infiltrating inside their area and scoring every time, the only thing you didn't did good was your shots, you missed almost every single one you tried, when we get back to the gym I'll pass a workout to improve your shots for you
Shin, undoubtely you were the MVP today, I hope you continue like this"
All of them nodded and walked with the coach back to the bus and they were going back home now

Shin got home and talked with his parents about the today's game
Mom: "Good job sweetye, your mom couldn't go see the game bacause of her job but when you go play an important game your mom will be there to see you playing okay?
Dad: "That's right son, we'll see if it's an important one"
Shin smiled to them and hugged them, he really liked his new family in this world, back in his past life Shin was an orphan who got adopted by a bad family, they treated him badly and didn't gave him nothing to eat or use
Shin: "Thanks Mom and Dad, I'll say to you when it's a important game that I'll play"
Shin got out of their arms and rushed to his room to meditate a bit before sleeping
He played the game from today again and again in his mind to see what he could be doing better at
Shin: 'Today I really didn't pass that much, I can't waste my Eagle Eyes by not passing... tomorrow I'll play at Point Guard, Himuro it's just playing at there because we don't have anyone to play at that position, I'll train my passes and ask tips from the coach when the tournament finishes'
Shin stayed in his meditative state for an hour and fell asleep after it
