Chapter 21

Thea's POV

Nakakainis talaga yung epal na matanda na yun.

Who he thinks he is to act like that? Boyfriend ba siya ni krystal? Of course not! He's only a boss to her.

Ugh! Kung makaasta siya akala mo kung sino!

But what if he's courting her? No it can't be! He's the boss and she's his employee. But still, it's possible, right?

Ahh! Basta nakakainis. Epal talaga. EPAL!

"Sweetie, why you're not eating your food? Are you okay?" mom suddenly asked me

I looked up to her. She is reading a newspaper with an eyeglasses on.

"I'm okay mom"

"You sure?" I just nodded my head at her "well you better finish that... malelate ka na sa school. I'll drive you there" tumango lang ako ulit.

My mom drove me to school. She'll be heading to the airport after to fetch dad.

"Bye sweetie! Take care of yourself"

I smiled at her "bye mom! Tell dad I can't wait to see him" I bid her goodbye while kissing her cheek

I was walking down the hallway when I saw George and Lea standing by the lockers.

They seem... sweet... weird.

I knitted my eyebrows and just slightly shook my head to erased my thoughts.

Lea seem to noticed me approaching towards their direction cause she suddenly straightened her body from leaning onto the lockers.

George looked at her confused at the sudden change of action then followed her gazed that's been gazing at mine.

"Hey" I greeted them with a smile

I noticed the shocked on their faces as if they're caught of doing something bad.

Problema ng dalawang to?

"Hey babe" george greeted back as he awkwardly kiss me on my cheeks

"So what's up?" I asked the moment he let go of me.

They looked at each other. I heard lea clears her throat "n-nothing! We were j-just talking about the..." I just looked at her while still waiting for her to finish her sentence.

"The campus foundation week" George butt in. I averted my eyes at him "yeah that's right!"

Oh maybe they were talking about their upcoming games for the foundation week since both of them are members of sports club.

"Yeah, we probably gonna have lots of late night practices" lea said

"Perks of being an athlete" I joked. They laughed. "Well, Good luck to the both of you"

"Ugh!"  Lea groaned as she playfully rolled her eyes.

George just shrugged his shoulders.

Kinuha ko na mga gamit ko sa locker ko. And by the time na nakuha ko na mga kailangan ko ay saktong nagring na yung school bell.

Naghiwalay na kaming tatlo since iba iba naman kasi yung klase namin. Pero bago pa man tuluyang mawala sa paningin ko si george ay tinawag ko muna siya. Lumingon naman siya

"Can we talk later?"

"Sure babe!"

I really need to tell him the truth. Maybe later is the time.

"Hi thea" I heard ally greeted me with a smile on her face. I smiled back at her. Napansin ko naman sa peripheral vision ko si krystal na nakatingin sa direksyon ko.

I glanced at her. She smiled but I just rolled my eyes on her. Baka nakakalimutan niya may kasalanan siya sakin.

I waited for her dahil gusto kong bumawi kasi nga nahuli siya ng boss niya na nakikipagtsismisan sakin during work hours and it's all my fault but see what she did. I just waited for nothing.

I'm not mad at her okay. Nainis lang. But I know for a fact that it won't take long. For the meantime, I'm just gonna enjoy this fake hate I have towards her. Let's see how she would react.

"Thea? Thea, wait!"

I'm now walking down the hallways with her following me behind and ally trying to catch up on us.

"Oy! Ano to habulan? Hinihingal na ako ah" reklamo ni ally

Sino ba naman kasi nagsabi na sumunod siya? Ngayon magrereklmo siya.

"Thea, I said wait!" she's running out of patience

I abruptly stop then turn around. She almost bumped me pero agad naman siya huminto and umatras ng kunti while ally hit krystal's back the moment she steps backward which took her by surprised.

"Aray naman!" She exclaimed. She then crosses her arms "at mabuti naman huminto na kayo sa paghahabulan" pagtataray niya kaya tinarayan ko rin siya

"Sino ba kasi nagsabi sayo na makipaghabulan ka?" I asked her sa mataray na boses

"Eh bakit ba kasi nagpapahabol ka?" ally asked

Magsasalita na sana ako kaso walang salitang lumabas sa bibig ko instead I quickly glance at krystal who's silently staring at me. I cleared my throat the moment our eyes met.

"Can we talk?" I looked at her again. I just sighed "let's go! Ally you stay" di man lang ako pinasalita muna

Hinatak niya yung braso ko pagkasabi niya nun at medyo na out of balance naman ako dun buti na lang hawak niya ako kaya di ako natumba.

Naiwan naman si ally. Nilingon ko siya and inikot niya lang mga mata niya.

"See you na lang sa cafeteria" sigaw niya

Andito kami sa mini park. Binitawan niya na pagkahawak sa akin. Tahimik lang siya. Akala ko ba mag-uusap kami?

"So? Ano na pag-uusapan natin?" Medyo tingala kong tanong sa kanya kasi nga medyo mataas siya sakin ng ilang inches

She was about to say something when I stopped here. Medyo nagtaka naman siya. I walked past by her she just follow me with her gaze.

I stopped walking. I squinted my eyes to make sure that what I saw is nothing and that my eyes doesn't play tricks at me.

But I was wrong. While getting closer to them ay mas lalo ko lang nakikilala kung sino sila. My eyes got widen from shocked. Di ako makahinga.

I feel a hand grabbing my arms from behind but I subconsciously withdraw my hand from her hold.

I stopped just a few meters from them.

I watched them as they continue to kiss each other. They are not aware of my presence yet.

"Cheater" I mumbled in a low voice but I think I say it loud enough since both of them flinched the moment they saw me staring blankly at them.

"Thea" lea just called my name. George came closer to me. "Babe, it's no—-" I slapped him. Hard.

How dare of him to cheat on me with my bestfriend!

Matatanggap ko pa sana kung ibang babae pero dude bestfriend ko yung tinalo niya.

"I can't believe you did this to me!" I said with a gritted teeth while looking at her. My bestfriend.

Paalis na sana ako kaso pinigilan ako ni george.

"Wait, babe..." hinatak ko yung kamay ko mula sa pagkakahawak niya "Wag na wag mo akong matawag tawag na babe! We're done!"

"What? No, thea..." hahabulin pa sana ako ni george pero muli ko siyang hinarap

"And oh before I forgot, gusto ko lang malaman mo na ginamit lang kita so we're even" diin kong sabi sa kanya saka sila tinalikuran.

Nasasaktan ako di dahil niloko ako ni george. Nasasaktan ako dahil niloko ako ni lea.

Patuloy pa rin ako sa paglalakad ng makaramdam ako ng hilo.

Medyo hinihingal na din ako.

Di ko namalayan may tumulo na palang luha sa mga mata ko.
