"Azania Wyatt please come to the principal's office. Azania Wyatt." Miss Khumalo's voice washed over the quad through the speakers, sending the butterflies in my stomach into a frenzy. The quad was buzzing with loud obnoxious teenagers but the sound of my erratic heartbeat thumping loudly in my ears, soon drowned them out.
"Damn, what did you do this time to warrant a summon to the office Aza?" I could hear the suspicion in Ayanda's voice, and I could see it on her face when I turned to look at her, making me roll my eyes.
"Who's to say that man isn't obsessed with me? Would you blame him?" I asked her with a smirk, to which she responded with a booming laugh. Her laugh soon spread around our table, my friends adding their own japes as I sprung to my feet.
With a shake of my head, I turned to my boyfriend who was stuffing his face with a double cheese burger, and kissed him on the cheek; making sure to dodge the glob of mustard at the edge of his mouth. I was about to leave when a hand wrapped around my wrist and tugged me backwards, landing on Kevin's lap. The squeal that escaped my lips was cut short by a kiss that left me dizzy and completely breathless. Kevin never kisses me at school, but yet, he flashed me a very rare goofy smile and said,
"Now you can go." in a hushed and hoarse tone. I planted another chaste kiss on his lips and stood up. That was odd, but I had to push it to the back of my head for lack of time.
"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you're trying to use my face as a napkin." I joked and walked away.
"Guilty! Will you be punishing me?" he called after me, his voice thick with humour. I twirled around to wink at him and proceeded with the long treacherous journey to the principal's office, that was situated on the other side of the campus.
4 minutes later, I strolled into the lobby and headed for the reception, where Miss Khumalo sat behind her computer typing furiously. The comely secretary looked up with an annoyed eye and shimmied me on my way with a flick of her wrist. I flashed her a small smile and headed straight to the gigantic door and knocked three times. My entry was granted by a grumpy 'come in' from the other side of the door. Straightening my back; I twisted the knob and walked in.
And there he was, seated behind his larger than life enormous mahogany desk. The man who interrupted my lunch was clad in an expensive looking black suit with a red tie, and had his dark hair tousled and messy in his usual, dare I say, sexy way. He was also typing furiously on the keyboard with his gorgeous face etched in a frown. Mm.
"You're late." he grumbled, his tone startling me. Am I in trouble?
"To be honest, I barely even heard the announcement. It is lunchtime. But I guess I'm sorry for being late Principal Matthews." I said as I sunk into the chair in front of his desk. His eyes were still fixated on the computer screen when he scoffed.
"You guess you're sorry?" I looked for amusement in his voice, and found none.
"Yes, I apologize for being late Principal Matthews." I said instead.
"I have been waiting for the report you promised me a while ago. I have run out of patience." He finally raised his icy eyes to look at me, giving me a slight shiver.
"There's a lot that still needs to be researched and compiled, sir. I need more time."
"We are out of time. I need it now." He pressed, his lips rolling into his mouth to emphasize his seriousness.
"Well, we don't always get what we need, now do we?" I said, fighting to keep my face from pulling into a smirk.
"Not today Nia. I am not in the mood." he said with a sigh that extinguished the smirk that had made it's way to my face. I stood up and rounded the desk, his eyes watching my every move. He swirled in his chair and opened his legs so I could stand between them. His hands immediately encircled my waist and mine found their way into his smooth, silky hair.
"What's up?" I asked as I nestled into his lap. Anthony buried his face in the crook of my neck and took a deep breath.
"There is a lot at stake" he said after a while, his breath tickling my neck and sending shivers all over my body.
"Ant." I breathed out as my breath hitched, and he gently nibbled on my ear.
"And yet, I don't think I care enough to stop." he breathed out raggedly and smashed his lips against mine.

My name is Azania Jennifer Wyatt and I know what it looks like, but I can explain. It is a long, beautiful and tragic story that I need you to know first before you judge me for having an affair with my principal. And even if you do, that's okay.
I regret nothing.
