Get a town
There are many things which I am good at. Climbing, especially a mere thirty or so feet? Easy. I'm good at sneaking, even while climbing. I can even hold my breath for extended periods of time. Doing all that while some child yanks my flexible neck and weeps openly?
THAT is considerably harder.
"We're not over the veranda any more." she hissed into my ear.
<One of us keeps yanking me over to the right.> I said.
She began yanking to the left, which was equally painful.
I proceeded upward, with such speed as I could muster.
<Quit making those weeping noises.> I said. <If they notice us while we're this close, doomed.>
"I'm scared." she chattered at me. "I'm scared and it's your fault and I want to go back now."
Nope. I could see the crenelations above, and even though colored dots were appearing in my vision (one of us had arms too short to wrap them around my chest). We were only going up.
