18. Mirror Of Erised & Unicorn Blood

At night, just as I was about to go to sleep, Harry started shaking me awake.

"Lux, get up! You have to come see this!"

I reluctantly followed him under his cloak, then I remembered this scene and I was awake. I followed Harry to the place he mentioned and there stood a mighty mirror. Harry brought me right up to the front of it.

"Look! Right there! It's my parents!" Harry said happily.

"I only see us Harry?" I looked at him with confusion.

"Just step forward and look." He stepped back and moved me forward.

I had mixed feelings about this mirror. On the one hand, it showed you your deepest desire, on the other, your desire might make you crazy. I steeled my nerves and opened my eyes, looking straight into the mirror.

What I saw was me surrounded by the people I love and care about. My friends and family all stood behind me while my love interests, Selene, Dora, Hermione and Daphne. It all brought a warm smile to my face.

But the only thing that brought pain to me was a certain figure from my past life who was standing right next to me with a small smile on her face. It hurt knowing that I wouldn't be able to see her again, but there's nothing I could do about it.

[I'm sure you can see her again. After all, nobody said that you can't visit your old world.]

'Wait, really?'

[Definitely. You just assumed that you can't visit your old world because of all the fanfiction you read.]

'Oops, my bad. I guess I shouldn't believe everything I read then, huh.'

"So, do you see them?" Harry asked with excitement.

"Harry, I only see my family and friends." I looked at him, then back at the mirror. I read the words at the top of the mirror.

"This mirror is called The Mirror of Erised. If you spell Erised backwards, you get desire. So if I'm not wrong, this mirror should show your desires." Bullshit no Jutsu is working hard tonight.

~Time Skip~

After the break, school started normally. Students were complaining about the work load and Professors were overloading the students. Oh yeah, when everyone returned from the break, Twinkledore gave a speech. That was when I decided to activate my powerful itchy powder.

It was hilarious to watch Dumbledork uncomfortably shuffle his feet. As soon as he finished his speech, he bolted for the exit. That was a good day.

Anyway, Harry got a letter from Hagrid, he said that he had something to show us. We had to visit him at night though. I already knew that he was talking about Norberta. I used [Soul Detection] and I found Draco hiding while listening to us talk.

Is this guy a stalker?

When it was night, we went to Hagrid's hut. I already know that Draco is following us, so I didn't bother with him. Besides, I was just looking forward to meeting Norberta. I even went and bought the skill [Dragon King's Aura]. I'm looking forward to see its effects.

We arrived at the hut and knocked on the door. Hagrid opened it slightly, with caution on his face, but he opened it all the way when he saw it was us.

"Come in, I've got a little surprise for ya." He let us in. I saw the pot on the fire and I knew that Norberta was here.

Things went like canon, but this time, Norberta looked directly at me when she left her egg. I was using [Dragon King's Aura] since I entered the hut. Norberta wobbled towards me and started rubbing herself on my hand. Hagrid seemed a bit upset by this, but he was crying tears of joy.

"Hagrid, how did you get a dragon egg?" I asked him.

"I won it, off a stranger that I met by the pub. Seemed quite glad to get rid of it, matter of fact." Hagrid said with a frown.

Then Hagrid started playing with Norberta, who decided to cough up some flames onto his beard. While Hagrid was patting his beard, he squinted at a figure behind the window.

"Who's that?" He asked.

We turned around and noticed Draco spying on us. He quickly disappeared from view.

"Malfoy!" Harry said through his teeth. Hagrid looked downcast as realisation dawned on him.

"Oh dear..." He said.

We quickly left before anything else happens, but on our way back, we ran into McGonagal and behind her, Draco.

"Good evening." Said McGonagal.

We were taken to her classroom where she started scolding us.

"Nothing, I repeat, nothing, gives a student the right to walk around the school at night. Therefore as punishment for your actions, 50 points will be taken," Harry became flabbergasted at this.

"50!?" McGonagal looked at the 3 of us.

"Each. And to ensure that it doesn't happen again, all 4 of you will receive detention." This brought a frown on Draco's smug face.

"Excuse me professor, perhaps I heard you wrong. I thought you said the 4 of us?"

"No you heard me correctly Mr. Malfoy." The 3 of us smiled at Draco.

"As honourable as your intentions were, you too were out of bed after hours. You will join your classmates in detention." Draco looked to us, only to see smug faces.

"Snitches get stitches." I said with a smirk.

~Time Skip~

After we were caught by McGonagal, the whole school knew that we lost house points. Although we lost a lot of points, we were only placed second, right after Slytherin. We had a lot of points because of me improving my friends abilities.

Now, it's Friday night, and we are taking our detention, which would take place in the Forbidden Forest. Filch took us to Hagrid who was still sad that Norberta left. We were then told about what we'd be doing and then we were split into groups. Me, Hermione and Hagrid were group 1. Harry, Draco and Fang were group 2.

Nothing happened on our end, but a clone that I sent to watch Harry had a reaction. Draco even said the whole, 'Wait till father hears about this', thing. It was really hard to not burst into laughter. Anyway, Quirellmort was there, drinking unicorn blood. Draco screamed and ran away with Fang right on his tail.

Then Harry was saved by a centaur, Firenze, who did the the old man story thing. Saying that it was Voldemort who was drinking the unicorn blood, and that the Philosophers Stone is in the castle. Then we came and took Harry away.

Now we're in the Gryffindor common room, talking about what Harry saw.

"You mean, you-know-who is out there, right now, in the forest?" Hermione asked. Harry nodded before speaking.

"But he's weak. He's living off the unicorns. Don't you see? We had it wrong. Snape doesn't want the stone for himself. He wants it for Voldemort. With the Elixir of Life, Voldemort will be strong again. He'll... He'll come back." I spoke up.

"If he comes back, do you think he'll try to kill you?" Harry sat down.

"If he had the chance, he might have tried tonight." Hermione then went on by saying that as long as Dumbledorks around, Harry is safe and untouchable.

The Hogwarts exams were finally over and it was the end of my first year. Hermione said that the exam was fun, I was just snacking on some food I nabbed from the kitchen and Harry was rubbing his scar.

"You alright Harry?" I asked him. He glanced at me before speaking.

"My scar, it keeps burning." I frowned.

"That doesn't sound good. A scar that you received from a curse that starts hurting after years isn't a good sign. You should be prepared for danger Harry." He nodded his head. We left the castle walls and Harry saw Hagrid playing his flute.
