Adrian's POV:

"I would but I'm not into books and I really have to give my friend who's an obsessed reader a special gift" I lie with the same seducing smile. I don't have any fucking friends; I have no one at all.

Jessica stands up easily and quickly and she's still holding my eyes in hers bravely. She's tall which is exactly my type, though I'm still much taller than her, so she has to look up at me to talk to me. Otherwise she'd just stare at my chest.

"What kind of book does your friend like?" She asks me, with a plain voice but I can feel her chest rising and falling.

"I guess he likes romantic stuff" I shrug my shoulders at her carelessly. She's treating me like the stranger I am to her, yet I'm talking to her like I know her. Maybe i should calm down a bit before she thinks that I'm following her. Fuck my life!
