Chapter 68

Lights. Cameras. Flashes. I got out of the car with bodyguards surrounding me. One of the men opened the car door for me to shine out into the public.

Every reporter and every fan were yearning to get a closer look at me. I walked on the red carpet smiling and waving. I'd flash my gorgeous gown-golden in color and my hair being styled by the most extraordinary stylists around.

But… that's not what happened. 

I've just arrived in New York City a month after the New Year, getting accustomed to the culture here and living in a new surrounding. I moved into an apartment just until I could find a decent place to stay. Coming here though, wasn't easy. It took me months to persuade my parents until they finally agreed one day, letting me to be on my own. 

I thought that it was a good change for a start.
