Well Fang Yuan had reached Rank 6 Immortal level and even went past 2 tribulations. And his skills even matched those of Rank 7. He is indeed a dragon within a cage and MC has no hope is defeating him or plotting against him. However, MC will take his own advantages where he can.

He's like those who is strong and cunning in mortal tier, but just a shrimp in immortal level... He's not that strong yet to shake the world.. Yes, he's scary as fvck but he's not that scary... Do you read "The abandon son", the alchemy of divine dao, etc? Those type of novel where they are strong in mortal tier but weakling in immortal tier before rebirth..
