Emery had modified the [Spirit Devour] spell, enhancing its range and versatility. Now, the spell could be cast without his blade claws or the need for direct physical contact. 

The spell unleashes in the form of multiple spirit strings, these tendrils-like energy was able to entangle Mo Yan's ghastly form, wrapping around the spectral body with an ethereal glow.

However, despite its increased effectiveness, it remained a tier 5 spell and with Mo Yan's formidable spirit defenses, it couldn't activate the spell's devouring capability, only restraining its target.

Mo Yan's enraged soul writhed and struggled against the bindings, his ghastly voice echoing with contemptuous fury. "You cannot restrain me with your puny skill!" His spectral form pulsated with dark energy, attempting to shatter the restraining bonds.

Undeterred by the spirit's rage, Emery met Mo Yan's gaze with a steely challenge.
