FINAL ARC:CH-3

A week or so has already went by.

During this enitre time Nulis has been spending time with the guy called Danyi. Sometimes they would sit down together and talk about random things meanwhile sometimes they would just remain silent for a long time, sitting down together without saying anything. Whenever the silent atmosphere would surround them Nulis would often catch Danyi sneaking silent glances at him. Because his push doll body was too tiny and small, everytime Danyi peeked his eyes at him, his pair of sharp eyes would turn soft and then he would turn his face away, making a rather serene smile.

Nulis felt very complicated with his current situation. He was a soul without memories. He knew nothing about his past. But the way his soul would waver everytime Danyi looked at him, told him that there was something more between them. Something more special. Ever since he awoke as a system and met those gods he knew for a fact that they were trying to use him. But when they offered him the chance of having his memories recovered he immediately agreed despite being aware of the fact that they were planning something against him. Even back then when they said that someone was desperately waiting his return, his soul wave length was flickering excitedly just like how it was wavering right now.

Earlier, when he met Danyi he was half sure that Danyi was the person they were talking about. Now that they have been spending time with each other Nulis was hundred percent sure that this guy was indeed that person who was waiting for him, the person those gods were refering to.

On contrary to what Nulis thought he would feel when meeting that person, the emotions brimming in his soul was complicated. He felt happy to having found the person awaiting his return but he was also anxious at the same time because Nulis was not Elm. He did not knew his past. He was sure that Danyi knew all there was to know about Elm.

But since the begining Nulis did not inquire about his past nor did Danyi say anything about Elm.

It was like both of them were dodging the most important topic for conversation.

The two people were unaware of how anxious both of them were when it came to this particular matter.

Nulis didn't muster up the courage to ask about his story yet. But he did ask about Danyi. About how he has been searching for him.

"In the begining I thought that you were killed by them." Danyi spoke, continuing his words.

"So I stormed my way to the heaven realm and well.....I fought the Queen but was heavily injured, causing me to be defeated by them. There after I was about to have a public execution. But I was somehow saved by someone. That person told me that you were still alive. He told me that I should build back my strength to fight for you when the right time came, assuring me that I would meet you again some day. After that I fabricated my death so that I could get those gods into believing my demise. Thankfully they did. Once my plan was successful I injected my soul into the Abyss of Samsara, the tree cycle of reincarnation of souls, where I found myself different individuals to intervene with the tree of destiny as I fed on my host's soul force to strengthen my weakened power."

Danyi told Nulis that the black haired guy who left on the day they met was one of the souls he used to restore his weakened powers. That guy died on that day to enter the cycle of rebirth, ready to live his next life.

Nulis blinked his eyes twice before asking him. "Did you really believe that I was still alive?"

When Danyi heard his question he steered his face towards him. Looking at him in the eyes he replied in a very clear voice.

"No. I didn't. I still didn't entirely believe in the possibility of you being alive. There might have been a chance that you were alive but there was still a chance of you being dead for real."

When Nulis heard his answer he somehow felt comforted. He himself questioned the chance of him never being awoken by the gods if it was not for Ivar. For Nulis, if his partner didn't exist then perhaps he would never awake as a system under the god's system network, and his soul would have remained in that frozen state forever. If so, the possibility of his soul dying out was high. So in this regard, he felt relieved knowing that Danyi didn't rule out the possibility of him dying for real.

After all, death can come to anyone.

But then, why did this person keep going even though he didn't have a definite answer? The answer to this question, Nulis himself knew the reason as to why. Since there was a possibility of him being alive, Danyi did not step back and kept looking for him. Just like how Nulis was aware of the possibility of being back stabbed by the gods, yet he still did not stop himself from pursuing after that little bit of possibility.

Danyi further told him about how he came to believe that Nulis was still alive. One day he sensed the fragment of his soul embedded in Elm's soul react to his call. Once he felt that connection establish for a second he was overjoyed with relief and happiness.

His face blushed a little bit when he mentioned about the link between their souls.

His determination to empower himself became stronger after that and once he attained the required qualifications to go back to his original body he left. Then he began to stalk the link between them that was fading slowly. Sadly, before Danyi could determine his exact location the link died out causing him several problems.

With this turn of events he again decided to opt for the most dangerous way to find him: that was to infiltrate the heaven realm.

"Surely I didn't expect the realm to be wrecked beyond recognition." Danyi murmured refering to the mess Guang Wang Lei had bestowed upon the heaven realm. He somehow felt very thankful towards Guang Wang Lei for destroying that wretched realm. If it was the present Danyi, even he couldn't have caused so much loss to the gods. But with Wang Lei, he completely decorated the realm with nothing but ruins, not only by killing half of the god's army but by killing the Queen as well.

It was regretable that he couldn't finish Queen Leive with his own hands but having him dead wasn't bad either.

"Its their fault for runing his time with Ivar. They only paid the price for trying to tear them apart." Nulis snorted in silence. He has witnessed his partner and Wang Lei's love story unfold before his own eyes. The gods deserved it for trying to poke their noses in between them. Infact he thought that Wang Lei was quite civil and lenient towards them. He had the power to make this world collapse but he was too busy cuddling his lover hence he had no time to reduce this universe to dust. Guang Wang Lei was quite a civil person in Nulis's eyes.

Thinking of him and his partner Nulis couldn't help but giggle like a kid, remembering how that man fell so hard for his partner.

Danyi flinched when he heard a very pleasant voice giggle next to him. The voice was so sweet and pleasant to hear causing his heart beat to thump loudly aganist his chest. He steered his eyes towards Nulis, staring at him.

But when Nulis met his gaze he turned away shyly. After a second or so he would look at him again, his ears blushing a bit. Then he would turn away again before getting back to staring at Nulis without blinking his eyes.

Nulis could feel something warm bubbling in him. He smiled a little bit.

"You have something to say?" He asked Danyi.

After hesitating for a bit there came a weak reply. "Em."

Danyi did not hesitate to show his person the thing that he wanted him to see the most.

"..." Nulis stared at the thing before him. His eyes went wide, the dull eyeballs fluctuating a bit.

A body laid before him.

He had short black hair.

His body was lean and thin.

His skin looked pale.

Dressed in a white shirt and red pant, the body of a boy laid before him, with his eyes still closed just like a dead person.

He looked about seventeen or so.
