He Saved Her

*Charm's POV*

After the game, we went to our own cottages to rest.

It's been a while simula nung nagpagod ako ng ganun but it was fun. Hanggang 3rd year lang kasi yung P.E namin.

On the other hand, Theia got the chance to participate for the first time. Ngayon lang kasi siya pinayagan nila Tita mag-enroll and mostly because Nathan promise them that he will take care of her.

Considering her heart problems, buti nalang ayos lang siya. Lovey had a medic ready while we were playing in case something happened to her.

We decided to take a bath an hour later. Malapit narin kasi mag lunch.

Bumukas naman yung pinto at lumabas siya.

"Are you okay?"

"Yup."

"Sinisipon ka parin ba?"

May hawak kasi siyang tissue.

"Medyo."

"Hindi yata magandang nagpagod ka."

Tumalikod siya bigla.

"Achoo!"

"Uminom ka ba nung gamot?"

She nodded pagharap niya sa'kin.

"Gumaan naman yung pakiramdam ko."

"Sure ka?" I asked. "Bibili kami ni Gab kung kailangan mo pa."

"Wag na." Sagot niya. "Uuwi narin naman tayo bukas."

Umupo siya and I secretly watched her breathe. Baka kasi nagpapanggap lang siyang okay.

"Bessy."

Agad kong inalis yung tingin sa kanya.

"I saw you."

"Hehe."

Ang bilis niya naman akong nahuli.

"Hindi ka ba nahihirapan huminga?"

"Nope." Sagot niya. "Don't worry. May dala akong gamot para dun."

"Good."

"Pupunta ba tayo sa kwarto nila?"

Tumango ako. "Ibibigay niya daw yung chocolates mo."

"Tara?"

"Tara."

"Loveyyyyyyy..." I called while knocking.

Walang sumasagot.

Naliligo kaya siya?

"Bessy, hinaan mo lang." She said and pointed on the other room. "Hindi lang tayo yung tao dito."

Sinunod ko naman siya.

"Baka wala sila dyan."

"Mamaya nalang?" Tanong ko.

"Pwede." Ngumiti siya sa'kin. "Makakapaghintay naman yung chocolates ko. Hehe."

We were about to leave nung biglang bumukas yung pinto.

"Pasok." A voice said.

Si Ry yung naabutan namin sa loob. He was drying his hair when we came in.

"Si Lovey?"

"Halos kaaalis lang." He answered. "Hindi niyo ba nakita?"

Umiling naman ako. "Where to?"

Theia and I sat on the couch.

"May pupuntahan daw saglit."

"San naman kaya pupunta yun?"

"Baka sa kitchen." Sabi ni Theia. "Alam mo naman gusto niya perfect lahat."

"Or baka sa office niya."

Busy, Lovey.

May inayos siguro.

Anyways, kukunin nalang din namin yung chocolates.

"Ry, do you know where he placed the chocolates?" I asked. "Pasalubong niya kasi yun kay bessy."

"Chocolates?" Tumayo siya tsaka binuksan yung mini ref. "Nandito yata."

Ryan took the plastic bag inside tsaka inabot kay Theia.

"Thanks, Ry!"

"Bakit parang siya yung nagbigay niyan?"

Ngiting ngiti kasi siya.

"Si Ry nga." Sagot niya. "Siya yung nag-abot e."

We laughed at her reaction.

Isip bata talaga siya minsan.

"Para saan naman yun?"

Tinuro ko yung comforter tsaka mga unan na nasa lapag sa pagitan nung dalawang kama.

"..."

"Ry?"

"I'm not sure kung dapat niyo malaman.."

I took the pillow beside me.

I might need this to make him confess.

"Sasabihin mo o sasabihin mo?"

"Ask Gab." Sagot niya.

"Ry."

Ano kayang kalokohan ang ginawa ng dalawang 'to kagabi?

"Bessy, kumalma ka nga." Sabi ni Theia sa'kin. "Bitawan mo yang unan."

"She's right." Ry agreed. "Si Gab. Siya yung may gawa niyan."

Itinaas ko na yung unan na hawak ko.

"Ry, sabihin mo na nga." Theia said. "Charm will not stop until you answer her."

"Ugh, fine." Sabi niya. "Nathan slept here last night."

"What??"

Nabitawan ko agad yung unan na hawak ko.

"I don't know what happened." Sagot niya. "Sinabi lang ni Gab sa'kin kung para saan yan nung nagtanong ako."

"Bakit siya matutulog dito?"

May sarili naman silang kwarto.

"Ewan ko." He said. "I was asleep when he came in. Wala rin naman siya paggising ko."

"Seryoso ba?"

"That's what Gab said." Sabi niya. "Kaya ko sinabi na tanungin niyo siya kasi hindi ko rin malalaman kung totoo yun. There's no proof that Nathan was here."

"Did Gabby ever lied to us?"

"No."

"Never."

"Then it's possible that he wasn't lying to us."

"But why would he sleep here?"

"I have no idea."

Bakit kaya?

"I'm not sure if it's true but I talked with Vin and Ken about our cottage." Sabi ni Ry. "Nagulat sila nung sinabi kong tatlo yung rooms dito. Sa kanila daw dalawa lang and they had 3 beds per room."

"So technically.."

He nodded. "Magkakasama dapat yung mga babae sa iisang room and that goes with the guys too."

"Pero magkakahiwalay tayo.."

"Correct." Sabi niya. "Which means na planado niya talaga lahat."

"But why?"

"I don't know the exact reason pero mukhang it's about Nathan and Theia."

We were both staring at her.

"Ano bang nangyari kanina, bessy?" I asked.

Wala pa siyang sinasabi tungkol sa nakita namin nung umaga.

Baka may kinalaman dun yung ginagawa ni Gab.

"It's nothing." Sagot niya. "Ivy just cooked breakfast and invited me to eat."

"Nothing?" I repeated. "Nathan was there right?"

Dahan dahan siyang tumango.

"Bessy, you need to tell us everything para maintindihan namin."

"I know.." Sagot niya. "Siya yung dahilan kung bakit nasa sahig yung pagkain ko. He threw it away.."

"Why would he?"

"Yung scrambled eggs kasi may ano.."

"Bessy."

"May cheese.."

Cheese?

Ry took me by surprise.

He suddenly stood up and went to her. Kinuha niya yung dalawang kamay ni Theia and examined them.

I was confused.

"Ry, it's okay." She said. "Hindi ko nakain."

Anong nangyayari?

"Wait nga." I interrupted them. "Anong meron? Ano bang pinag uusapan niyo?"

"Her allergy."

Allergy?

"Oh."

I forgot that already.

She never ate any food that will trigger it kaya nakalimutan ko na.

Cheese.

"May cheese yung pagkain mo kanina?" Napatayo ako agad. "Si Ivy ba??"

"Bessy, calm down." Sagot niya. "Ivy doesn't even know."

"Yung donuts din sa game." Ry pointed out. "I'm still wondering kung bakit yun yung ginamit ni Gab."

"Oo nga, he knows about her allergy." Sabi ko. "Paano siya nagpabaya ng ganun?"

This is not something he would forget.

Why would he do that?

"That's the weird part." Sagot ni Theia. "May lumapit sa'kin na staff after the game and she asked me if I enjoyed the donuts."

"Enjoyed??"

"They made it, bessy. She told me they didn't use any milk or dairy products."

Made?

Ginawa nila mismo??

"Kaya hindi natatakot si Gab kung makain mo man yun." Bulong ni Ry. "He made sure that you won't have any allergic reactions.."

"But why?"

Why would he fake risking Theia's life?

Anong makukuha niya kapalit yun?

"Didn't Gab tell you anything about his plan, Charm?"

"No." I said. "Ang alam ko lang, gusto niya bumalik sila sa dati."

"I think you need to talk to him." Sabi niya. "Whatever he's planning, it doesn't look good."

I stared at Theia.

Only a few of us knew about her allergy.

Her family, Ry, Gab, me..

May isa pa.

Si Nathan.

Kung nakain niya yun--

But she didn't.

Pati yung donuts, hindi ko nakitang kinain niya.

Nathan saved her.

"He remembered."

Kaya niya nasabi yun.

Hindi naman siya pwedeng magkamali kung si Theia na talaga yung totoong naaalala niya diba?

But why would Gab do these things?

Ano ba talagang binabalak niya?
