Would it blow up?

Everyone was present at the first location where the music video shoot was to take place, yeah, the video shoot for Mark's song. The video director was present there, the cameramen, the makeup artists, Mark's music manager, Jeffrey, and other participants of the video shoot. And you wouldn't guess who else was present at the location.....it was Dylan. He made out time to be present for the video shoot. He had many reasons for being present there, but one reason stood out, he wanted to make sure Mark put on those chains and rings for the shoot.

He knew Mark wouldn't forget to do so, those jewelry cost a lot of money, and Mark acknowledged that, so surely, he wouldn't forget to put them on after the grooming and makeup stuff. But Dylan still felt like being there anyway, just in case. Dylan had already informed Ben about the jewelry he purchased for Mark through phonecall, and all Ben said was,

"Hmm, great, hope it works".

Ben said it with less conviction, no matter what, all of Dylan's ideas and doings were still based on a probability, it might work out, or it might not...mostly, it won't. Ben was supposed to be present for the video shoot also, but he was too occupied with so many activities, so he couldn't make it. Dylan had stuff to handle also, but he bought out time to be here, it was like a priority.

The shoot was gonna take place in two different locations, in the director's video studio room, and a normal silent boulevard. They were currently at a quiet boulevard for the first phase of the shoot, when the shoot is finalized here, they would head over to the director's video studio room for the second phase of the shoot. The makeup artists were the first to play their part, they beautified Mark's face and other participants of the video shoot...those that were to show in the video. After that, they moved to the grooming part, Mark and the other participants were properly dressed according to the phase of the shoot that was about to take place.

Just as the video shoot was about to begin, Dylan halted it saying,

"I'll like to say something".

Everyone was staring at Dylan at that moment, including Mark, like, why the sudden halt? why didn't he say what he wanted to say before the procedure of the main shoot? The video director stared directly at Dylan before uttering,

"Why didn't you say what you had in mind when the preparations for the shoot were still ongoing? When the makeup artists were still playing their part, when the grooming stuff was still ongoing, you didn't speak at that time, now that it's about time for the main shoot to begin, that's when you decided to speak.....that's bullshit man. You just wasted our time, after we conclude with the shoot in this location, we're still gonna head over to my video studio room for the last phase of the shoot, so why the halt? What is it that you want to say anyway?".

'Why the rant?' That's what Dylan said to himself in his thoughts, to him, the director was just ranting. He knew that aggressively answering the director might lead to one problem or the other, so he just kept his cool before voicing out what he had in mind.

"I just wanted to say that there are some chains and rings Mark would put on when it gets to the rapping verse. There might need to be a change in his grooming when it gets to that part so the chains would fit in well".

"Is that all?". The director inquired of Dylan.

"Yeah, that's all". Dylan retorted.

The director then turned his attention to Mark and Jeffrey throwing a question at them,

"Do you guys concur to what he just said? Are you in agreement with it?".

"Yes, we are". Mark and Jeffrey responded in unison.

"Ok then, let the shoot begin".

The video shoot commenced, and everyone played their part to the best of their capabilities, especially the music video director. As the director, he would have to make sure everything takes place orderly and smoothly. And that's exactly what he did, he directed the music video to the best of his capabilities. The first part of the shoot had a bit of storyline in it according to the song, the director added that just to put in a bit of sauce to the music video.

Then it got to the first rapping verse where Mark would have to put on those expensive chains and rings, but before that, there would need to be a change in his grooming. And that's exactly what happened, his grooming was altered, the makeup artists consolidated the makeup on his face, he wore the three expensive chains on his neck, then the five rings on his fingers, and the shoot commenced once again.

The chains fitted him well, they looked good on him. Dylan couldn't help but smile watching Mark fit into the style of a rapper. A person who doesn't know Mark as a singer would think that his main style of music is rapping judging from the video shoot. Everything about him at that moment screams rapping, the way he acted, his body movement, and the way he gestured with his hands. Not only that, the way he held the chains on his neck with his fingers, damn! it was so cool, he fitted into the style of a rapper completely.

They climaxed with the shoot in that location, the peaceful boulevard. It's about time for them to move to the director's video studio room for the last and final phase of the shoot. Everyone hopped into the director's large van apart from Jeffrey and Dylan, both of them brought their cars, so they just followed the van closely from behind. It wasn't much of a long drive before they arrived at the director's video studio room. Everyone hopped out of the van, while Dylan and Jeffrey parked their cars and came out of it.

They all entered the video studio room for the shoot, and wow! it was unexpectedly beautiful. It was broad, and everything was placed in its right order.

"Wow! this studio room of yours is really beautiful". One of the makeup artists said.

"Yeah, thanks, let's get into the main deal immediately, let the preparation for the shoot begin once again". The director uttered.

And instantly, the preparation for the last phase of the video shoot began once again. The cameramen positioned their cameras to the right spot for the shoot, the sound managers played their parts, the lights were handled and fixed to its right spot, then there was some change in the grooming aspect, after that.....the shoot commenced once again.

There wasn't much to be done here 'cause most have been done in the boulevard where the first phase of the shoot took place. So within 55 minutes, they had rounded up with everything, what remained was for the video to be well-edited and released.

"We are done here". The director said with a smile on his face.

"Yeah, it's done". Mark uttered.

"I thank you guys for the work you put into making this video shoot a success, I appreciate it". The director stated, he appreciated them for their efforts, he can't play all roles at the same time for a music video shoot. He can't be directing a shoot and still be playing the role of a cameraman, a makeup artist, a dancer, a sound manager, and the rest, it's never possible for him to do it all at the same time, so he really appreciated them for the work they put in, at least, he and they were getting paid for this.

"We appreciate you also for your guidance and direction throughout the video shoot, you played your part as a director excellently, we really appreciate you for that". That was an utterance from one of the guys that showed in the music video. He stood alongside Mark when he was rapping.

The next event that followed was the taking of pictures, at first, they took pictures of Mark only, after that, they began taking group photos. Mark was in a world of his own already at the time they were engaging in that activity, his thoughts had gone far. He kept on thinking about the fact that Darcy was already making waves in the music industry. The video for her rap song titled 'Dawn' had already gathered up to 5.2 million views on her YouTube channel within 3 days of its release, while the streaming numbers had jumped to an amount of 15 million on all streaming platforms.....that's huge!

He kept on asking himself these questions, 'Would this song blow up? Would it add any impact on my music career? a lot of unique stuff I added to the song and music video.....but would it work out?".
