The sounds of feet marching in perfect sync pounded on the gray brick ground.
A brigade of five hundred soldiers stomped through town.
A young man with long spiky black hair and dark brown eyes was leaned against a brick wall in an alleyway watching the soldiers march by. His name was Tekkyon.
A man came up from behind him smoking a cigarette. He had greasy dark green hair that hung in front of his black eyes. He wore a puffy yellow coat and black pants with black boots. Everyone called him Moss.
Moss walked up beside Tekkyon and blew out a puff of smoke. "The quality of our soldiers has gone up recently hasn't it."
"Yeah." Tekkyon said without moving his gaze.
Moss looked him up and down. Tekkyon was wearing a casual black t-shirt with black pants and boots. "It's cold. Why aren't you in your regular outfit?"
"It's only like forty today. It doesn't really feel that cold."
"Hmph. Speak for yourself. Sometimes you get tired of snow year-round."
