Chapter 26

That night, Courtney found herself unable to sleep and wandered down the stairs to seek something to help. If it wasn't the nightmares, it was her brain unwilling to shut itself off and let her rest. Figuring Austin wouldn't mind if she borrowed a book, she closed her hand around the knob to the library and gasped when the door opened on her.

Austin blinked in surprise. "Hey."

"Hi," she breathed.

Every time she was near Austin he brought up strange and unusual sensations in her she wasn't so sure she liked. A trip of her heart rate. A flip-flop in her belly. Heat flaming her cheeks.
