44: Night and Darkness

"No, milady, I haven't. But then again, we aren't kids anymore..." Avery picks up her clothes and adds them to the laundry basket beside the bathroom door. "If you want me to speak casually to you. At least give me the right to call you milady if you're that uncomfortable with your royal title." She disappeared and then came back, bringing a bottle of bath soap and a bathing scrub with her.

Lara cringe and shivered at her words. Milady… It sounds so stiff.

Lara stepped into the tub but didn't get in; "Don't tell me the head maid disciplined you while I was gone..." She commented, looking at Avery when she didn't reply. "She did, didn't she?" 

Avery sighed, forcefully pushed Lara to sit in the tub already. 

Lara yelped. "What are you- " her words stopped when her body submerged into the lukewarm water. A long, relaxing sigh coming out of her mouth. "Gosh, that feels good…"
