"Slowpoke, first use 'trick room' and then 'Rain dance'", shouted Axel.

Axel told it to use 'Trick room' because,

Trick room (Slowpoke) (Level 40): The move speed is very fast and it lasts for 3 minutes

 (Level 45): It can affect the Pokemon, one sub rank higher than it.

 ---

3 minutes had already passed by now. It had been 2 minutes since it used the more 'Future sight' and still 3 minutes were left before it was activated.

When it used 'Rain dance', it started to rain cats and dogs. It was already raining cause other Gyarados had also used 'Rain dance'. 

"Now, use 'Chilling water' and then use 'Psychic rain'. Remember the training. Try to combine all 3 of them."

Slowpoke closed its tired eyes and started to concentrate. Suddenly, the rain that was falling under those 2 Gyarados started to freeze. Since it was raining heavily, it became very difficult for Slowpoke to control every droplet of rain and freeze them but it was also to freeze around 50% of them.

That was still a huge achievement as it was not able to do it before. Then those raindrops that had not been frozen, started to show a hint of psychic energy and their sharpness increased to a very high degree and both of them started to fall towards those 2 Gyarados.

Slowpoke has been able to combine 3 moves into 1.

It is a monumental achievement for any Pokemon to do it.

By combining 3 moves into one, it had created a new move. Name the move.

Slowpoke had been training on this move for quite some time but since it had to control 3 moves and then somehow combine them, it became very difficult to do it.

However, Axel also knew that if there was any Pokemon in his team that could do it, it would be Slowpoke. So, he didn't let it feel like it was useless when it was training the move for 2 months and he also motivated it. Finally, it was able to learn this new move.

"Hmm, what should I name it? Let's call it 'Hadouken'. That is a good name for it. Haha."

'Hadouken' was an attack move that the characters Ryo and Ken would use in the game Street fighter 2. They would shoot a fireball from their hands and attack the opponent. Since he was a kid, Axel was always fascinated by the name and the attack.

Those droplets of rain felt like hell acid for those 2 Gyarados. Saying that it was a nightmare could conclude their situation. Axel didn't know if those Gyarados could even survive this scenario. He didn't want to anger other powerful Gyarados by killing them.

It was a spectacle to see. It was very powerful and all the other Pokemons that were battling stopped and started to see what was happening down there. 

The attack time was not very high. Slowpoke could only attack for 10 seconds but that was enough because,

Axel had seen what a Pokemon would do when they ranked up from tier 1 to tier 2 as both, Charizard and Shedinja ranked up when they were training far away from Axel. 

Axel had half expected that there would just be a notification from the system when they ranked up but apparently, he was wrong.

A purple and blueish glow started to surround Slowpoke as it started to rank up to tier 2. Everyone was seeing the spectacle. Lance was jealous that Axel was going to have another Pokemon that was a tier 2 king rank.

The process didn't take long as it was able to rank up to tier 2 within 2 minutes. Normally a rank-up would take more time but since it was an increase of sub-rank, not the whole rank, it took less time.

ROOOOARRR

Slowpoke gave a beastly roar after it had ranked up.

Since Axel was so busy seeing his Pokemon rank up, he didn't give any attention to the 2 Gyarados that were fighting Slowpoke before. He turned around and saw that one of the Gyarados had fainted and the other was still standing. 

The Gyarados that was still standing was covered in multiple injuries. It looked like every part of its body was pouring out with blood. This attack looked very devastating.

Meanwhile, since Slowpoke had just ranked up to tier 2, all of its injuries were healed and its stamina was also full. It was ready for round two. Slowpoke was definitely going to win this battle and Axel now started to concentrate on Cloyster's battle.

However, suddenly, something amazing happened.

The Gyarados that was standing with multiple injuries gave a huge roar looking at the sky. Its body flinched multiple times as it roared as its body was paining very much.

Then it also started to glow in white and blueish light. 

"What the fuck? It is also ranking up?", shouted Axel.

Axel could not believe the coincidence of such a thing happening. 2 of the king-rank Pokemons were ranking up to tier 2 at the same time. What were the odds of that happening?

This Gyarados didn't want to lose. It already saw how Slowpoke fought with both of them and then one of them was already out of battle. If there was no higher rank Gyarados that was watching the battle, it knew that Slowpoke would have killed both of them. 

How could it, the mighty Gyarados take this humiliation lying down? So, it reached out for any strength it had and gave a huge roar which surprisingly let it rank up to tier 2 king rank.

Slowpoke ranked up first and then it waited for Gyarados to rank up. When a Pokemon ranks up in the middle of the battle, the other Pokemon would not attack. This was the tradition that had been going on from the beginning to time.

But that didn't mean that the opposing Pokemon could not power itself.

"Slowpoke, use 'Psychic domain' and then use 'Stored power'"

Axel gave the instruction and then looked at Slowpoke's status.

Its power had increased exponentially. It health had increased by 500. That was okay as per Axel's opinion as Slowpoke was not normally known for high health. Axel's talent had already increased its stats to a good level and now since it was a tier 2 king-rank Pokemon, its stats had also increased.

He then looked at the move description which had been upgraded.

 (Level 50): It would spread out a bulb of the psychic ball and scatter it around the battlefield. Slowbro could then get close to those balls of psychic energy and use 'Calm mind'.

Stored power (Slowpoke) (Level 40): It can hold more power inside it while using the stored power. 

 (Level 45): It can separately store the power inside it and can use it collectively for devastating effect.

 (Level 50): When the status move is forcefully deactivated, stored power could store 50% of the remaining power of the status move and store it. Before it could only store 10% of the power and that power would be deducted from the effect of the status move. After receiving the 50% of the power, it would have used this move within 2 minutes.

Hydro pump (Slowpoke) (Level 40): The speed of the hydro pump is very fast and it is also very destructive.

 (Level 45): The power of the move has heightened a lot.

Confusion (Slowpoke) (Level 40): It has a 20% chance to confuse the target.

 (Level 45): It has a 30% chance to confuse the target

 (Level 50): If the target is confused, there is high chance that the target would be inside the illusion.

 (Level 45): The move would spread psychic type energy around the area which would heighten the psychic type attacks.

 (Level 50): With the help of 'Rain dance', the power of the move has increased.

Teleport (Slowpoke) (Level 40): It can use multiple teleports at a very fast speed. However, the distance of the teleport would be very small.

 (Level 45): The move would be done swiftly as it would be very hard to detect.

Icy wind (Slowpoke) (Level 40): The effect of icy wind is faster.

 (Level 45): It has penetrating power which would make the opposing Pokemon even more slower.

Water pulse (Slowpoke) (Level 40): The pressure of water pulse is higher than before.

Ice beam (Slowpoke) (Level 40): It could shoot Ice beam in larger distances.

 (Level 45): The power of ice beam would increase while using 'Rain dance)

Most of the moves had been upgraded and if Axel could use it well, then there could be a lot of synergy in these moves. He just had to make a good battle plan for Slowpoke.

Unknowingly, Slowpoke was turning out to be one of his strongest Pokemon. Looking at the stats, it was the 3rd strongest Pokemon in his team.

When Axel finished looking at the stats of Slowpoke, Gyarados had already ranked up to tier 2 king-rank Pokemon. However, the things that Axel had planned for Gyarados right now may not make it appreciate its new rank.

"Slowpoke, immediately use 'Confusion' with full power.", said Axel.

Since Slowpoke was a psychic Pokemon with good maturity, it was not distressed with all that power when it ranked up to tier 2. The same could not be said for Gyarados.

Gyarados was known for its arrogance and pride. It showed the nature of a dragon-type Pokemon. Axel could not understand why it was not a dragon-type Pokemon.

It could not control itself and it was lost in its new power. Since it had also ranked up to tier 2, all of its injuries were healed and its stamina was also full.

Just when it was ready to attack Slowpoke, it was hit by a full-power 'Confusion'.
