The way the Order operates would be viable as long as there was an effective justice system in place. As Aedan said, without a strong backing from the ministry, they are, at most, only temporarily incapacitating their enemies. It's like having capable police officers arresting criminals to then have them released by corrupt and inept lawyers, prosecutors and judges when it's time for the trial and have them committing the exact same crimes the day after their release. On the other hand, those affiliated to Aedan are pushing for a war in the true sense of the word and they don't shy away from shedding blood.

what the author is ignoring is that harry's prophecy does not prevent anyone from killing voldemort since anyone can destroy the horcrux and the protagonist can purify the piece of voldemort's soul from harry

So he still intends to let Voldys slivers be found the canon way? Or hope it does which means it will because it always somehow has..? Still going to let Dumbles die to the ring and such? Not bothering to point out the little bit that is at the Blacks?
