The MC should have sold the info about Umbrella and what is about to happen to the continental and shield, that way he could rack a good amount of reputation and rewards from the continental, also since the author can't focus only on resident evil ark forever (asssuming he will also uses another fictional universes or expand more in marvel), it would be like shield worked with the goverment to end umbrella for their crimes against humanity, since in the movies and games they ended the world basicaly.
